B&M shifter has a nice unique look. Seems to fit in nicely with the tank/bars. That little Rat Fink is hilarious. Your buddy Jake would like that I bet.

That sounds like a killer plan! Have you tried to figure a way to do that pattern with the existing holes? More math. Can’t wait to see them fat hoops rollin’ on the trike. 109= too hot. Been mid nineties here for a week.

Wasn’t able to take the stand by myself. Will need my son to ride the Trek so I can ride something else with the stand. But I did find something. This post brought to you by “Momma’s Lemonade Jar”. I even got her permission first. ☺️ Liking the front angle more. Bush Jar really shows...

Raining again but wanted to see how the straight pipe cranks look before it started getting wet. Front yard. Wish I could figure out a simple way to blur the background. Hollow cranks not real noticeable until you get close. I like it tho. Couple different angles. I think the front view...

Tried that last night but was getting inconsistent readings. Tried again today and found that if I shoulder the bike instead of holding it I get the same reading every time. 198.8 lb - 181.8 with pedals removed. 17.0 lb. Lost half a pound over factory weight spec. Not bad. I had assumed...

No I want to though. Not sure if I have a very accurate scale. If it’s under 15 lb I can’t enter it in a professional racing event. 😅 Should be close to factory weight of 17.5 ish but I’ll get it in a scale. I wanted to weight the frame and see what’s the smallest Schwinn part I have that...

Seems like there’s always something but it must be extra nerve racking with it being somebody else’s bike.

Will see if it shows in the regular pics.

Here’s a close up of the end of the cranks. SRAM road cranks come like this but you gave me an idea. SRAM cranks have a bolt that attaches the non-drive side crank. These Shimano cranks just have a plastic cap that draws the crank in then it clamps to the splines on the other side. I realized I...

Yes my son feels the same way. I'm not 100% on the stand but I'll get some shots with it. Those were just some quickies during the test ride.

I lost the cap. :D I like the open end of the hollow spindle. That was the point of all the digging to get to it. Shows off that they are good cranks and looks like a big exhaust pipe. No cap. Maybe a little something down inside though..🤔 Bone stock Shimano 105 cranks.....(slightly...

Drive side should be somewhere down out of the way. You can still show off the blocks. I like to set my pedals flat like they be while riding.

Found a SRAM quick link to use as a stand-in to get the derailleurs adjusted. That went really smooth so decided to take her for a quick spin. Bike is amazing with the flat bars. Carbon rides so smooth. Pedals become a “loud pedal” when it’s on the big front ring. Easy to achieve “man I...

#5. Like the in front of the green door shots. Could improve possibly by getting the bike a bit closer too the door? Bike looks great. Really nice job.

Could possibly stick it in a hole saw or something and turn it with a drill? Use some gritty Emory cloth.

This is looking cool. Some old timing chain guides might work for the slap stopper. Also picturing a nice alloy tension arm pivoting from that unused bb hole.

Got the cables ran. Was raining and momma left to do errands so worked in the living room with the doggy. Fiddly job. Couple quick yard pics. Like being in a bowl of hot soup outside even though temps are down a bit. Seems I’ve lost the master link for the chain so waiting on a replacement.
