Love those painting frames. Reminds me of a model kit with the parts still on the trees.

Raining today. Basement bling pix. Tuned up the dish on the rear wheel. 24mm rear tire really fills up the frame. 😃 Having a bike this light makes for interesting photo ops. Just need cables and chain and she’s done. 😎

Nothing works like the old aircraft remover with the skull and crossbones. Was looking at your brake setup. That’s a little sketchy. There used to be these little L-brackets that some bikes had that would brace the pads against the seat stays. Can’t seem to find them and no idea what they’re...

Appreciate all the nice feedback fellas. Got sidetracked a little when my son got home from work and suggested we take a midnight bike ride. Limited to what we could get to easily so it was a couple old Schwinns. ‘64 Sting Ray and ‘76…? Scrambler. This front derailleur was the last thing...

First appearance of the Goof Off graffiti remover this year. Looks like it worked decent. Yes no front brake on most modern bmx. Well functioning rear should be plenty good for most situations.

Thank you fellas. 😅😂 Didn’t share the progress photos of the cranks as the level of carving got truely kooky. Glad I only have the front derailleur left to do.

I have the display for it as well. Will see if I can do a stealthy mount and tuck it behind the stem. Finished filing, sanding and polishing the non-drive crank. Did the same to the pedal faces.

Thank you! Glad you like it. Derailleur was a lot of whittling. 😅

Cool build. Looks like a fun one.

That looks awesome! Really like how they are paired instead of one big wall of spokes. Nice job with the maths. 🤓

Installed the computer thingie on the non-drive chainstay. Forgot it lights up when it first comes on. 🤩

I was too but there been a hiccup with that. Ordered another set tho. It’s just the outer bolts but I was going to keep the steel Shimano ring nuts on there anyway. Other set I ordered the guy sends me orange/mango and swears up and down that those are the gold ones I ordered. Made some...

    ** The next build off 2024 **

Can you enter one bike in both build offs? 😅

Really nice parts selection. Gonna be a sweet ride. 😎

Dah mech. Little more difficult than expected. Springs are stiff and under some tension just to assemble. Got bit a few times but happy with the result. 😎 Will get some more pics when the chainring bolts come and chain is installed. Punch list is getting short. Touch up on non-drive crank...

That fork is wild. Don’t recall seeing one like that before. Does the axle actually travel in the long slots?

    UNLIMITED Hackarosa

Bolt on would probably be good. Lot easier to store/man-handle if you need to move it around if you can separate the side platform. Would really love to get carted around on that thing. 😃

Rear derailleur almost done. Before and after…. Will lube and reassemble tomorrow.

Few new things. Can’t use the SRAM cranks as they’re 130 bolt pattern and I don’t have rings for that so the Franken cranks will go on the bike. Discovered a new finish. Put a little easy off on these black pedals then hit them with a brass brush. Turned them into “Rat-tanium”. Going for a...
