Just an awesome bike, it has both form and function. For the front wheel, I like the idea of finding some butterfly nuts, or maybe consider swapping in a QR hub or just a skewer to replace the solid axle? QR pedals, QR front wheel, gold the bars and BOOM! πŸ‘πŸΌ

You are doing a great job with the limited resources available. To me, that is the β€˜heart’ and β€˜spirit’ of RRB. Build on brother!

Great sharing of life in another part of the world. I think I found a typo though… You said β€œthis IS the local Lublin beer”, I only see empty bottles, so didn’t you mean β€œthis WAS the local Lublin beerβ€β€¦πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£

This bike is cool now and will still be cool (if not cooler) 10 years from now

If anyone is looking for a set of β€˜flat’ bars (until you can find an abandoned shopping cart or something), Velo Orange’s Porteur handlebar is slick. I can attest to the quality of their products, it’s top notch (but comes at a price, like anything of quality)...

A β€˜bamboo’ paint job on this bike would be PERFECT!

Considering the riding position (with your center of gravity being down and forward) and with the bars dropped the way you currently have them, it could be β€˜awkward’ or even difficult/dangerous to take your hand very far off the bars to switch gears. Maybe consider (although they are ugly) a...

I like the β€˜M’ bars, not just for looks, also for riding function. Meaning, a straight bar is difficult to get β€˜leverage’ when pedaling a stretched frame (although they do look cool). I think the pullback on the Ms, will make it much easier pedal up inclines and such. Maybe post a side view or...

Thanks for the info on color and technique. I too am planning on using the Colonial red in both satin and gloss, just need to come up with my β€˜dirtying’ technique

Nice score! They will hold really heavy bikes as long as you get the β€˜balance point’ right. I’ve got a project that will probably top out over a 100lbs and my PCS-9 has handled it so far (it’s a good 75lbs right now)

Those brats look delicious! Quick question, what color red are you using? Asking for a future build of mineβ€¦πŸ˜

Love those too, the base was also used on the X-53, even my one-year Higgins uses it (reference photo, not my bike, but I have the light in a box….😏)
