Thanks! The fork came from you a few years back!

    Frames, fork, and 65t sprocket

Few items that would like a new home. prewar Elgin frame. Mostly bare metal, little bit of red here n there. I used this frame as a build off bike at one point. Slight ‘wave’ in one of the seat stays but the frame is straight and rides nice. $110 shipped to the lower 48 — SOLD 1990ish...

It doesn’t. But it just doesn’t sound/feel right. Plus there’s a tiny bit of play between the sprocket and the arm I just can’t get rid of. Easily resolved if I just swap to a mid school or modern spider or sprocket. But, I wanna think on it a bit first. Wanted to do black crank/ silver...

So, sometimes it’s a swing and a miss. Have this GT crank and Sugino ring and really wanted em to work. But just won’t. (How I’d like) so, back to the parts boxes to look for a crank set up I want to run.

    Humuhumunukunukuapua'a

Got the headset and fork in yesterday but failed to get pics. So snapped one tonight after I built the rear wheel. Starting to come together. Fork is an Early 90s USA made SE Landing Gear with cantilever mounts. I really dig the 70s bombers that had coaster rear and canti front, so this is kind...

Yup! Headset came in last night, but I didn’t get any shop time. Hoping tonight.

So I have a couple headsets on deck. But they predate the frame/build a bit. And I’d really prefer black. eBay tracking says to expect my blackhead tonight. So hoping to get the fork on the frame later today.

Nice! They’re killer hoops. I just need to drill mine out for schrader valves and they’ll be good to go.
  12. Dizzle Problems

    Humuhumunukunukuapua'a

That’ll do. Will have to do the rear an evening this week.

First piece I plan to use. Have had this hub rollin around NOS for a few years- Figure I don’t have green as an option too often.
  16. Dizzle Problems

    Humuhumunukunukuapua'a

Figure it’s been a bit since I did a build thread. So why not attempt one. As some know, I’ve been on the hunt for a Kona humuhumunukunukuapua'a for some time. As luck would have it, I found a frame. Or, better stated, a friend found a frame and lead me to it! I believe it to be a ‘95 pre...

    Cook Brothers current value

Some interesting info turning up on this frame. Craig Cook claiming it was his and was stolen back in the day. ‘records’ showing it was sold in 2014… curious.

Modifying forks and truss rods ??

I don’t believe the headtube of the girls frame is terribly longer. I’d prob chase the threads (as you’ve done) then put the top race of the headset on, the a 1” headset spacer in whatever height needed, then the truss rod bracket, then key washed and nut. Likely won’t be too noticeable once...

REDUCED Brooks, Autoshift ... Frames - Schwinn, CannonDale.. Girls Higgins

Sorry. It has sold. Found that auto shift set up floating around the other day though
  20. Dizzle Problems

Let's see those Kona HumuHumu & Kona A'Ha

I’d actually love to find a P2 for this one. It’s 1” threaded, and they are tough to track down. One is on eBay, but the steerer is too short. I have a ton of forks, but being it’s a ‘94, I’d like to go with something that would have been available around that time. And yup! The stars are just...
