Few items that would like a new home. prewar Elgin frame. Mostly bare metal, little bit of red here n there. I used this frame as a build off bike at one point. Slight ‘wave’ in one of the seat stays but the frame is straight and rides nice. $110 shipped to the lower 48 — SOLD 1990ish...

It doesn’t. But it just doesn’t sound/feel right. Plus there’s a tiny bit of play between the sprocket and the arm I just can’t get rid of. Easily resolved if I just swap to a mid school or modern spider or sprocket. But, I wanna think on it a bit first. Wanted to do black crank/ silver...

So, sometimes it’s a swing and a miss. Have this GT crank and Sugino ring and really wanted em to work. But just won’t. (How I’d like) so, back to the parts boxes to look for a crank set up I want to run.

So I have a couple headsets on deck. But they predate the frame/build a bit. And I’d really prefer black. eBay tracking says to expect my blackhead tonight. So hoping to get the fork on the frame later today.

I don’t believe the headtube of the girls frame is terribly longer. I’d prob chase the threads (as you’ve done) then put the top race of the headset on, the a 1” headset spacer in whatever height needed, then the truss rod bracket, then key washed and nut. Likely won’t be too noticeable once...

I’d actually love to find a P2 for this one. It’s 1” threaded, and they are tough to track down. One is on eBay, but the steerer is too short. I have a ton of forks, but being it’s a ‘94, I’d like to go with something that would have been available around that time. And yup! The stars are just...
