I laced a 24" rear to a Nexus hub using the original spokes. They were a touch long, but I didn't bother grinding them, just put about three layers of electrical tape over the spokes and called it good.

I picked up this barn find BF Goodrich Schwinn from CycleTruck a while back, and set about finding the date on it. I looked on the serial number tables, and it's a pre '48, so out of luck there. I then took the cranks out, and unlike my 41 DX, there is no date on the cranks - just AS & CO on...

So, I'm looking at some red anodized MTB style bars, and it seems like all of the bars our there have pretty flashy paint on them - like those in the image below. Any suggestions on removing those logos without damaging the anodized coating?

After getting a couple more parts in, and swapping threadless adapter for a Orgin8 Quill Stem, putting on the sparkly Salsa grips, and installing one of slowriderz custom seat posts, she is good to go. Really happy with how it turned out.

What you probably want to do is have Chad build one for you. He can make them 13/16 at the bottom, and 7/8 up top so you can put a modern seat on there. He can also put a little bend in the seat post, too. I have two of his posts, and another three on order...
