3G Jemima + Nexus 3 using original spokes?

I've been searching for the original post on the 3G Jemima wheels, with no luck!!

Is it possible to reuse the original spokes that came on the Jemima's to lace up a Nexus 3?

A spoke calculation is your best bet. But I have laced several Nexus 3-i hubs in place of a coaster using OG spokes. I have needed to purchase brass washers @ the home depot to pick-up some slack under the nipples as the Nexus tends to be a wee bit taller.

I hadn't run into the previous posters problem, recently!
Like was said, I also replace c.b. hubs with 3s all the time. As long as they're (hubs) within a 1/4" of diameter of each other I go for it.

Oh its not a problem, I just prefer NOT to grind run-outs.

It is perfectly acceptable to grind the excess off. In fact I was taught you had to or the spokes were short.

I laced a 24" rear to a Nexus hub using the original spokes. They were a touch long, but I didn't bother grinding them, just put about three layers of electrical tape over the spokes and called it good.
