Mounted the headlight and front fender today, I'm really liking where this is going.

I think the paint is great, but the first giveaway that it's a modern frame is the headbadge and the quick release on the seatpost clamp.

I rode the Elgin today, rides really nice.

Interesting point about the deck height being a factor in how nice it rides. I'll have to factor that into my design.

My parts bike was once an elgin miss america, I bought it as a frame and fork for $20 and the frame is totaled because of freeze/thaw damage. you can see it in the first pic I posted on this thread.

Got the fork and fork wedge out of the Miss america, also my new sprocket arrived. I'd like to find a way to age it and make it look more like the elgin one. Does anyone know what my chainguard is from?

Kinda chilly here in scottsdale, It'll be in the low 70s all week.
