Couple questions on the Worksman Newsboy frame

Worksman cup size is weird. From what I remember it’s larger than a Chicago Schwinn. You can convert it to 1-1/8 if you wanted. I have a bunch of Worksman cruisers, I converted one to 1-1/8 threadleas and it is solid!

Couple questions on the Worksman Newsboy frame

You can convert them to 1-1/8 thread less if you wanted to go that route. The Worksman cup size is weird. Bigger than old school Schwann from what I remember. I think I have some loose cups around if you wanted me to measure them. RatRod did you have to shim that headset?

    Attack of the Clones

Looks cool. That jig is something else. What are you using for a bender?

I always found the shipping to be really slow for how close they were to me. But that still sucks.

    Fork You!

Cool. I’ve always wanted to make some bmx style forks, I like the old style. Be careful with the burn through on the 4130, I’ve worked with it on roll bars and the inspectors don’t like too much heat. I could be wrong but I don’t think you want to be burning completely through it.

    Varsity ATB

this one is kind of small. I could see one of the bigger frames being a nut buster for sure. I won't be doing anything crazy, the brakes suck.

    Repairable or new frame?

What diameter post? I would do quil style/wedge bolt If you have a guy that welds that could be pretty simple to make

    Repairable or new frame?

Grind it flat and make a super long quick stem type seatpost

I completed 2 and started 2 more during the build off. I didn't enter.

What parts do you always seem to need?

Bmx style straight tube 26" fork. I agreee the modern forks just don't look right. Weather it's the drop outs or the tube size I don't know they just don't do it for me. I'd like to try a gbp fork they look good. I took an akisu slash cut for off an old earth cruiser. it looked great and rode...

That looks great. Did you shim the sealed headset to work in the worksman frame? I like the blade fork in the worksman also.

Tire clearance is pretty tight. Maybe 1/4" per side. I'd like a little more aggressive tire this is gonna be used on the trails but I have to see what is available that will clear. I'm not sure how much the fork changed things. It was unrideable when I picked it up and I tore it down as soon...

    Brioni Islands Cruiser

this is FIRST CLASS. A friend gave me this BRIONI touring bike a few years ago. It had the wheels removed and was left outside for years. They're supposed to be made in Yugoslavia. That's about all I could find out. Frame is super light, lugged construction. I wanted to build a path bike but...
