Depends on th ebike and age - a lot more originaly came with treaded 'Tractor grip' or similar tread tires, than slicks, although the slick is often preferred for the look :) . As long as it looks good, and big n littles, I just build em , lol.

Will be watching this one - as I have it's twin in the shop, buried. Mine is missing the guard :(, did find one I bought an entire girls convertable bike to aquire - any chance while you have it apart you could scan the guard lettering ? ;)

Watching this one with interest, I remember when Kingfish fiirst posted that and thought ' Muscle Bike' .. gonna be cool to see it play out.

Not sure why it's machined witht he round bead 'crimps' . 50 bucks for a repop that looks wrong is nuts - here's a photo of a non-functional one I made for my 70 fenderless, not quite prefect but close, and minimal costs .

Eagleeye - Thanks for the info and links,I did find a 71 ad and it matches my serial '47548'. Good to have the diagram of the shifter, too, will have to dig out my parts I have and see if they are right for this one ( fingers crossed ). Cool info on the fork extender, I figured homemade, but...

Not trying to nitpick, but can you clarify the rules on minor frame mods ? if they fit the class ? In other words - would a sexchange but stock appearing bike be ok in class 1 ? What about cutting out and rewelding a brake bridge ( ie: swap from coaster to 3 speed Stingray ) ?

Looking forward to this.. going to even try to enter this year, doing a project within a timeframe, especially with NY fall weather, never seems to work out, but I need a kick in the pants to finish something. :) Decisions, decisions... hmmm What's the rule on multiple entries ? still ok...
