I now have a solid brake handle and mechanism for the suicide brake. This took a lot of time and "skillbilly" engineering, at least 10 hours. The suspension spring perch sure made this easier. It provided the right width, strength, and cool hardware to start with. That's 20$ in hardware...

I thought about that last night. I don't think it will be too hard to make the mags a little larger in diameter and taper them. Thanks for the help and inspiration, Luke! There is a machine shop here that has a CNC water jet. These things are sooo cool, I may see if I can get them to cut one...

I'm giddy with this new revelation. So, as one guy posted on FB "cheap china mass produced crap", I feel the same way! But, it does give a good source for parts. Luke has inspired this next idea. I was going to cut the back hub apart and mount a disc brake in it, so I could paint it. I don't...

Thanks Luke! Thanks M! I was a little worried that this thing may be too weird and too different for the discriminating tastes on this forum.... then I read Guitar Carls post on Lukes build. "Isn't that what a muscle bike is supposed to be? Impractical, uncomfortable and over the top...

I like the front end. All the bigger bikes I've seen have rake in the trees and it makes them squirrely to ride.

I got my seat height dialed in, this is fit for me and for riding... I found this cool little fork off of an electric scooter at my LUBS. I'm going to mount the sissy bar to the spring assemblies. I was given a futon for scrap. It has 22 apx 2' sections of 5/8" tube in it (wish I had it earlier...

    ( Class 1 - MBBO#4) TorRed (68 Typhoon) - Finished

I had an old Columbia fork like that. I put a 20" bmx wheel on the fork and turned the fork backwards and ran the bike into a brick wall a couple of times. Amazingly enough it worked. That wasn't a steel blade Schwinn fork though...

(MBBO #4 Class 2) Mustang Phatty -(FINAL MOCK UP PHOTOS)-

 Thanks, Luke. I don't know how fast I am though... this is about twelve hours of work. I had a lot of fun doing it. I was giggling and jumping up and down after the test ride. Thanks OJ. And a most definite yes to the nanner. "Gears grinding" on the sissy bar and handle bars too...

    (MBBO #4 Class 1) "Shelby Flyer Woody"..Holiday Greetings from OddJob..pg 10

Love the creativity in this build! It looks like you are having fun too. Which, to me, is what this is all about... Nice ride!!!

I got quite a bit accomplished to day. Starting with the fatty front end. I didn't have long enough pieces of 5/8" tube so I had to join four pieces(2 each) I started with welding the 1" on the head tube. I leveled the frame and then leveled the HT and tacked the other end to the plate. The...

Two front ends it is. I just cut the OCC head tube out and got it cleaned up.

(MBBO #4 Class 2) Mustang Phatty -(FINAL MOCK UP PHOTOS)-

I'll give it a try. Why not build the bike with two front ends? Has that ever been done?

(MBBO #4 Class 2) Mustang Phatty -(FINAL MOCK UP PHOTOS)-

In keeping with the "fatty" theme I decided to put the WCC fork on with the 20x3 tire. I slammed the fork down as low as it could go (for a reason to be seen later). After I took the pic's I put the chain on and took her for a quick spin. I wanted to see how the cranks cleared, they looked low...
