The stupid, ugly, messed up bikes thread.

    Tiny gravel bike - awesome!

What is this little muscley bike?

Thanks! Once in a while being obsessive pays off.

What is this little muscley bike?

After a whole lot of image surfing that took me to Wikipedia, then Reddit, then RRB (in 2010) I learned that the little bike is an MTD Duke. They made a 3-speed version - the King, and a step-thru - the Duchess. MTD - Modern Tool & Die is an American company that has made lots of cool stuff...

What is this little muscley bike?

I've messaged the seller and am hoping to hear back. I don't usually pay much attention to little bikes, but this one was odd enough to catch my eye.

    It Works, Man!

Thanks, man! At first it seemed like a really stupid idea, but it just kept growing in my head. When I found the old Moto-Bike ad, I realized how similar the front triangles are and there was no turning back!

    Terrible Twos

I love how the dropouts on the very back make a forked stinger tail. Too many cool bits of creativity on this machine!

    It Works, Man!

Thanks, @kingfish254. Mounting that front 24" fork as suspension/sissy bar was easier than I'd thought it would be. It's been a very fun build. I wish we could all get together and ride our finished bikes!

    Rollin bones

Everything about that bike is gorgeous - beautiful build!

    It Works, Man!

(Nothing like a deadline to keep you moving!) Here she is - the Worksman-turned-Moto-Bike Tribute Originally I planned for a more conventional klunker, but then the triple-tree forks magically appeared and I knew it had to be a tribute to the bike I rode as a kid - a 1976 Yamaha Moto-Bike...

    Blue bike

That paint restoration turned this thing around, and the you got the details right. It's been cool watching this bike come together. Beautiful bike!

    It Works, Man!

Thank you! I've been having a lot of fun getting it together.

    It Works, Man!

Thanks - I am really happy with it!

    MANUJAWN

It's amazing how much the blue on the seat added. Nice!
