Actually, simple is more complicated. The less to distract you, the more obvious mistakes and bad designs are. Learned that from the old codger who taught me how to pinstripe. Less lines = less hiding mistakes.
Pretty much caught up and life about as stable as it'll be for a while so, time to make sense or this junk and make a bike. Not sure if it'll make the build off deadline but still shooting for it.
Time to get to work!
Anyone out there have one that they could give me the shift arm O.D. size and thread pitch? Doing a one off shifter arm for one and haven't gotten a response from them yet. I know a few of you guys are running these so feel free to chime in!
Thanks!
Just check my build off thread. I think I stuck "shop music" videos in all of them.
But heres todays:
*EDIT:
That will make more sense when I make a build video when I get a chance.
Hmmm, looks like someone got a hold of my stingray bars.
At least it isn't a knock off of my frame like he did to GoCruiserGo and Roth though.
Sorry, I know you aren't the guy whos doing it but I wouldn't support him!
Since you asked for opinions....
I still say do some of these!
Of if you are dead set on the moto-mag look with minimal welding you could do the extra(spokes I guess you'd call them?) with some tubing that is smaller than the thinner part of your oval tubing spokes. Less welding/ finishing and...
Wow! This is looking sweet!
What gauge tubing are you using on the forks? If it were me I'd go with .120 since those are pretty long and wouldn't really worry about it much, anything lighter and it may be an issue.
Best bit of advice I ever got was shut your mouth and open your ears. 2nd best was K.I.S.S.(keep it simple stupid). Probably won't help much but who knows.
What about something like the slide notch stays like on old riding mowers? Feel free to tell me to shut up since I have no idea what you are thinking and it's probably better than that!
Looking forward to more.
So let it be written. So let it be done.
I'll finish the rest of the bends, perch's and dropouts tonight. After that, it'll stall until customers orders are finished.
Since I quoted it:
Testing, Testing 1. 2. 3.
Do it.
Do it?
It's not doing it.
Don't think I'll have time to do it right but I may cheat it. Or I may do it right.
No matter what I'll do it right eventually.
BMXPlus!
I think those are still stashed in a box somewhere(as well as a few of the original potts bolts). Long before Freestylin' came out. Thanks for the wayback machine!
