How hard is it to get one

That's a good question. The Twin-Flex variants seem to get credit for being the only dual suspension bike of the era, HOWEVER, I think there was at least one other that qualifies. Take a look at the Monark Flo-Cycle, the rear triangle was shaped using elongated loop tails and then affixed to...

    Zep frame and other stuff

I thought you might say that :D Shortly after I bought the Twin Bar I was able to buy another triple step to complete my set... (I REALLY wanted a complete set also.)

    Zep frame and other stuff

Ahhhh, I just noticed this from your original post.... The Twin Bar I bought a while back came with a front triple step and a rear Lobdell. Separated Franken-cousins?

51 or 52 Schwinn Autocycle truss question

Ehhh, it was an Ebay auction for frame/fork/fender the other day, I missed out :( Stuff always goes for next to NOTHING when I'm NOT actively pursuing it, Murphy's Law. Anyway, interesting bike. I don't typically think of the '50's when I think of the Autocycle. By the looks of the drawing...

*FINISHED!* Trek's First Mountain Bike; Vintage MTB Content

This bike is an EXCELLENT ride! Lots of folks, especially the modern road bikers knock Trek, presumably because they're the biggest, everybody's got one, sellouts, yada yada. I just also found a '79 Trek roady with Reynolds 531. Typically I don't like the ride quality of vintage road and...

Hey Walker, I have a technical question about the Zep frame, check your PM's....

    Parting Out Bikes

I've come to terms with it, for the most part. Most post-war, average, or so-so condition girls bikes have ZERO value, except for parts. I mean come on, a nice set of drop centers w/ New Departure, chain guard, stem, bars, FENDERS, rack, that's REALLY good stuff I NEED. But what's really...

Spent 5 minutes looking for the page that contains the clickable link to "Threads Started by Tailwinds". I'm simply looking for the list of all the threads I've started, not the posts! Frustrated, venting, thanks  Help?

    Schwinn Heavy Duti Question!

I have one also, I'll have to go check the serial number, I don't think I ever bothered to date it. The bike's currently in my "storage facility". I'd like to see more HD photos!!!

    Pin Stripping FTW..?

I don't have any of the tribal/ ratrod style of pinstripes, which I like but I can't seem to find anyone in St. Louis who does it........ I would GLADLY be a no-pay intern for somebody if they would teach me the craft....

WHAT ARE YOUR 3 FAVORITE BICYCLES?

    1) 40'-60's Schwinn (The quality really is that good. The old ones are a joy to work on because they're rarely such POS's) 2) Elgin (Their designs were cool) 3) Huffman (Not Huffys) Wish I could find a Shelby Airflow though....
