    The Steamroller (BOX)

Well we actally used a trailer hub for our bike for the rear too. But we didn't use trailer bearings. We actually cut a one peice crank bottom bracket off of a frame then we cut off one of the crank arms. Then we welded a sprocket to the bottom bracket, welded the bottom bracket to the hub, and...

    "Sparky" - Early '80s Worksman (Re)Build

Sweet cruiser build. The colors looked a little odd at first on the bare frame but It looks really good assembled. Where did you get your powder coating done? I have thought about getting some things done in the past but I didn't even know where to start.

    Ice Bike

HAHA, that is one of the most pointless things ever, and I love it!

    Allow myself to introduce...........myself.

Welcome to RRB Dan! We can always use more folks like us around here.

    The Steamroller (BOX)

Wow, that is wild. I love how you put the sprocket and brake disc on the opposite side of the frame in the rear. That is a great idea. Our rear solution was extremely crude and basically made the bike a fixie... which is not really ideal with a 30lb wheel on it. :D

(BOTEN) "OUTLAW" ...Withdrawn from the build-off...

Wow this is going to be an amazing build, your stuff always leaves me in awe. I can't wait to see how this turns out. Also is it sad that I am a bit jealous of your giant pile of parts and material.

    The Steamroller (BOX)

We never made it past the design stage for the fork before life put the build on the back burner. But honestly when I look back at out original concept I kind of want to scrap the whole frame and just start over from scratch. I'll have to see if I can dig up a picture of it.

    The Steamroller (BOX)

This is going to be a very cool build. Me and a friend tried to build a single sided bike with car wheels before but we never were able to figure out something that we were happy with for the front fork so I am very curious to see what you come up with.

    KILDUFF AUTOMATIC NEXUS SHIFTER

That's pretty neat although honestly I am more intrigued by the coaster brake that activated the front brake also. That's pretty slick and I can actually see that being fairly useful.

    Spotted in Virginia Beach

Oooh that is nice. What a wonderful thing to find in a sea of department store cruisers and ape hangers. Man I really need to get back out to the beach.

    Da Bears

That thing is nutty. But I like where you are going with it. And as a Bears fan I definitely approve of the new theme!

    Bizarre reverse trike/gokart/scooter thing WRFF

Gotcha. Yeah the front tires on this one are pretty weather checked but they seem to be holding air. I think I am going to try and put the bare minimum into this thing just to get it working and then decide what to do with it from there. I'll be honest though I have been looking for a set of...

    Bizarre reverse trike/gokart/scooter thing WRFF

That's actually a really cool idea. That quad looks like a lot of fun. I have been thinking about building a cargo bike and this could make for a good starting point if I decide to do a reverse trike style. Did you try and ride the thing before you tore it down? I am curious how it actually...

Guess what showed up in the local news paper?

That's pretty cool. I can only dream of being recognized like that with any of my bikes.

    Secret Trike

Wow that is just beautiful. Amazing work!

    Craigslist nightmares and dreams...

That's a lot of bikes... the crazy part is if there really is 400 bikes, asking $5000 for all of them isn't even unreasonable. That works out to just over $12 a bike.

    Bizarre reverse trike/gokart/scooter thing WRFF

I recently scooped this up from the trash and the more I try and research it the less solid information I seem to find. So far I have been able to determine that it is called a WRFF which stands for Walk Run Fly Faster and was built by a company called Salton. Also that they were sold about 10...

    Trike building question

Honestly as comically heavy as my bike is (something like 110 lbs I think) it's actually not too bad to ride. As long as you aren't going up any hills. LOL. But it is perfect for just cruising the boardwalk at the beach. Trust me I know how that goes. My big chopper was built on a budget...

What are two things you never have enough of when doing builds?

Time!... Never enough time. I have so many half completed projects and ideas floating around in my head but never enough time. Some money would be nice too since I am basically working on an other-people's-trash budget. For the most part the lack of money doesn't bother me much since my bikes...

    Trike building question

This sounds like a nutty cool project I definitely want to see what you end up with. For what it's worth I still like the idea of using trailer hubs to bolt on some car wheels... although I may be a bit biased because me and a friend were actually building a single sided bike frame that way...
