"The Quest" railway bike... am I missing something?

I saw an old magazine ad on this forum from the 40's or 50's that showed a bike on a rail. It had a bracket of some sort that went from the bike to the opposite rail to keep it in line. Gary

    Bf Goodrich help with year

Pre war with high number "H" serial. I'd bet the farm that's a '41. My '41 is # H28926. Pre war cantilever frames only came on deluxe bikes. B607 or B707. Looks like the fork and rods are original to the frame also. I'd guess you could probably get $150 for just the frame. Gary

??Are Bontrager Hank Tire Still avaiable??

Don't know if they still make them but I love mine. High pressure...it's like you're riding a road bike. The rolling resistance is nil. Gary

    * Pre war Schwinn & Old Westfield *

HaHa! No way I can pry it away from you huh? The Deluxe Autocycle was model B707. They never made a B707 after the war, only the B607. Now I want to see you find all the parts to make it complete. Go for it! Gary

Love that Schwinn frame. Pretty rare...from the most deluxe pre war Schwinn made. Tempting, but I have enough bikes. Gary

    Schwinn Challenge

No challenge. Your bike is (was) a post war girls Panther. Turquoise and indingo blue. Someone really trashed that bike. Hope you get some useable parts out of it. Gary

    Spoke question

10 5/8" is what you need if you have standard length nipples. Schwinn used 10 19/32" with the longer nipples. Gary

    Whats with mens bikes?

    I wouldn't wear a dress, and I won't ride a girl's bike. I'm old school. It's must be a testosterone thing. Gary

Don't know my Hawthorne's but that's a cool bike and even cooler pic with the Christmas tree. Gary
