Satin clear over the bike and wheels will be painted tan

Doing some trimming to get the wider axles to fit

This bike is super crusty! I still want that look but just not as much. Going to wet sand the bike

Thanks, I've owned a lot of Monark from all originals to custom ones. This one should be a fun build.

I think this raccoon tail will be perfect hanging out from under the rear fender.

I even like the side pipes coming out of the engine. Maybe I could do something like that from the tank

I really like the crusty original paint but with new wheels, wide white walls. Kinda of like this rat rod.

Count me in!!! I believe the last time I did one of these builds on here was about 2008 when I was living in Cincinnati Ohio. Living in Florida now & the weather is perfect to work on bikes all year. Not sure of the direction I'm going with this bike yet but starting off with this crusty 26"...

Early 50's Firestone 26" bike. Yes I have the original front wheel in good condition that matches the rear, just not pictured. Original paint bike except for the chainguard. You can see a repair was made on the rear rack. Good solid bike. $750 plus shipping. Possible trades.
