    And here's the frameset cleaned up ready for a build! Been working on this today virtually one handed as I came off a western flyer cruiser I bought on Thursday and then within 24 hours of owning it I wrote off the forks. Pics of the bike later

    Fenders are looking much better When I have a spare hour or two I will sit down and keep at the underside of the front one with a flathead screwdriver and I should get rid of more of the deeper rust Seat post was nice and easy to clean

    I tend to clean the chrome with wire wool, and a small brass brush on the little things, but what I do is make sure I keep the items dry so that it's just rust powder coming off and nothing gooey lol. Afterwards I give them a once over with glass polish

    Yeah I got a mk2 with the mk1, lucky as the original wheel for the yellow bike was in it!

    Thanks, yeah this is the mk1, the mk2 was the safer model that came out in 72 and was in production till about 82/3
