Stitched up some of the tears in one of my seats

So yesterday I laced up a rear wheel for this chopper. And I also took the forks off the cruiser to have a look at them! The only thing I think may have happened is the mudguard moving and touching the tire

I have the guard to a mate who paints choppers for a living so he has all the matches, not sure on the actual match code but raleigh called it brilliant orange back in the day

Yeah I forgot to put the class, this ones another resto/clean up. Unless there's a category called scraping the barrel for every last chopper part I have lying around lol

I'll see tomorrow the full extent of damage to the cruiser, low speed on the flat and all of a sudden I went over the bars, didn't hit anything either so need to know what happened! I think I need to stick to riding my musclebikes lol

With a fractured elbow I'm taking it easy at the moment, hopefully in a few days time I'll have the strength and patience to lace up some wheels for now I've decided which route I'm taking this bike to! Got a new old stock console cover like this one And chopped it about a bit The original...

And here's the frameset cleaned up ready for a build! Been working on this today virtually one handed as I came off a western flyer cruiser I bought on Thursday and then within 24 hours of owning it I wrote off the forks. Pics of the bike later

Here's the chainguard, freshly painted in orange and should do the job!

here we go, another chopper project. I picked up a frame yesterday and united it with a chainguard and forks These forks were originally from a tall frame and had been cut down lol My last set of mk1 bars, hopefully they will clean up

Got a busy few weeks at the moment, so for now back in the shed it goes till next month when I pick out a day to get it welded back together

Today I decided to look at what parts I cleaned up and put them on the frame to keep everything in one place Gear lever came up alright too! Compulsory Crocs shot :D

Fenders are looking much better When I have a spare hour or two I will sit down and keep at the underside of the front one with a flathead screwdriver and I should get rid of more of the deeper rust Seat post was nice and easy to clean

I tend to clean the chrome with wire wool, and a small brass brush on the little things, but what I do is make sure I keep the items dry so that it's just rust powder coming off and nothing gooey lol. Afterwards I give them a once over with glass polish

Yeah I got a mk2 with the mk1, lucky as the original wheel for the yellow bike was in it!

Thanks, yeah this is the mk1, the mk2 was the safer model that came out in 72 and was in production till about 82/3
