Like the tread pattern! Think the blackwall is a good choice as well, nice contrast to the polished aluminum. keep the rubber side down!

Blues Brothers Bike. Done in jail. BLUESSICAL

True, I am unsure of the owners willingness to modify their dropouts, but I forget what site I am on sometimes! Have done it myself in the past, and is an easy way to solve that issue! keep the rubber side down!

Wondering if you did it with a more standard, 559 iso, 26" rim you might be able to run a single 26x3.0 or so size tire on the three rims. Would need a decent rim strip in there, and I am not sure you will be able to run such a large volume tire between your... wait, your chain and seatstays...

    Pinnochio-Done as it's gonna get

Bondo! Have considered it myself a couple times. If one was to go with paint and had some rough tins or wanted to give a welded bike a smooth brazed look, then utizing bondo and other auto body type methods wouldnt be a bad idea. Smoothing new/ugly welds like ones I would be laying down is an...

    Nothing Special, CWC Hiawatha

The cog on the bendix is a fairly specific part, not sure they ever made a 3/32" version, unfortunately it cant be swapped out for another cog easily like on a traditional coaster. I have run 1/8" chains on 3/32" freewheels before without much issue, maybe chains wear out quicker rolling on one...

I will be mixing chainring widths. Being an 1/8" on the Bendix, and 3/32" on the 3Arrows ring. A 1/8" will fit a 3/32" ring but will have play on the ring like you stated. I am going to be playing with the chainline, make sure its as straight as possible, and shouldn't have to worry about the...

The first treatment of OC seemed to help soften the paint, was using a rag and the red was coming off. Trying not to use harsh chemicals, doing it outdoors, have a tarp over my lawn to help prevent damage to the grass. Hoping the oven cleaner treatment will soften it up enough to use a brass...

    What's in a name?...

The name for mine came from the title of its thread in Fresh Finds. I had acquired it at the local Denver Old Bikes Club Spring Swap out of their end of the day "free pile", a place to toss things you no longer want to lug around and havent been able to sell. I had been eyeing up two other...

Blues Brothers Bike. Done in jail. BLUESSICAL

I have seen bmx guys do dual drivetrains on their bikes back in the day when the left side drive stuff hit the market. They had rear hubs threaded on both sides, one side normal the other reverse thread, for the right and left side drive freewheels. That in combination with a set of cranks meant...

Paint stripping, or an attempt to strip paint has started... heard the oven cleaner method works for some paint so I am starting there. If I find this to be too troublesome I may have it sandblasted. Believe I am going the direction of bare metal, or if I do paint it will be a dark silver...
