    BO15 Stoked!!!

This happened yesterday while showing my son how to skid! Cheap wheels produce cheap results:mad:

Yeah the red was more of a choice of parts availability that fit my budget I had originally planned on blue stuff but i couldn’t pass up the deal on that Profile sprocket, it was $15 and it sort of matched the gear ratio that was originally on there. I love those tires too, super smooooth! I...

That’s excellent! Love the color too! My dad had a bunch of original R. Crumb comics when I was kid. I loved sneak reading those things!

Yeah, I was wanting a third accent color and I thought those wheels were actually more of the gold anodized color which would have been a complimentary color, those which are left or right of the main color, I think my mind is kinda broken these days. Anyway the ad on eBay was bogus, those rims...

    BO15 Stoked!!!

Thanks! I appreciate that! I hate the wheels! The more I look at it with those on there the more I hate them. I’m probably going to throw them on the wife’s bike. It’s funny cause in real life they don’t look that bad they just don’t photograph well...

    BO15 Stoked!!!

Morro Strand Rat is back together and ready for shakedown part II, tar removed and linseed oil is applied. I also figured out I had set-up the BB wrong so I fixed that and my chain is now in a mostly straight line. Next week I’ll show y’all how to install and remove these types of cranks without...

    BO15 Stoked!!!

so I tapped on the frame with a rubber mallet and got all the crud out then I sprayed some PB blaster chain lube with Teflon all throughout the tubes and now I am using some goof off to get some of the tar off that’s in random spots all over the frame like this... We’re doing a Father’s Day...

    BO15 Stoked!!!

Thanks! I was gonna ask what y’all would to do in this situation. I’m guessing these things are available on the interwebs, no?

Crud and rust on the inside of the bearings that’s coming out of the seat stays and head/bottom/seat tubes, not good! I’ve already sort of started to wipe off the BB but just remembered to take photos. Not stoked!

    BO15 Stoked!!!

Looks like I need to blow the crud out of the tubes otherwise I can kiss the bearings goodbye, the BB was worse!

    BO15 Stoked!!!

Went for one more ride with my son before I start my tear-down this evening. This is close to what I envisioned when I started but I’m gonna make a few changes probably! Cheers!

    BO15 Stoked!!!

Yeah the skiff has a 6.8l straight six John Deere. It’s also about the worst boat in the world for just about anything other than it’s purpose of towing the Seiner around in Circles...

I’m working, I run the skiff on a Squid Seiner called Ocean Leader. You’ll find a photo of her just above your comment.
