Finally! I hope you all had much fun in this build off as I did. I also picked up some tips here and there. Now it's time to just sit back, relax and grab some popcorn. Good luck to all the participants! Here's the link to the build...

    The Lost Boy

The bike is actually done I had a test ride down our street, just once. It's been raining here the whole week (rainy season) so I wasn't able to take photos yet or made a significant trip to share my experience with the tires. However, the first thing I noticed during my test ride was that you...

Rockafella - 1953 Ruff Firestone Super Cruiser - Completed Ride Video +MajorAward+RollingStoneCover

So much love for this beast! All the parts, old and new just fits together perfectly! As for the flipped screamer bars....ummm IMHO, listen to the part of you that says "this is nuts!" and wait for the bars you ordered . However, based on your past builds listening to that part can be a...

    The Lost Boy

Been up and about and just gathering the parts I'll be using. Hopefully I will be able to complete the project before the deadline :) Safety has been in my mind lately so I kinda changed my mind on the fork. I will now be using a V-brake 26" rigid for this build with coaster brakes in the rear...

    The Lost Boy

Not much progress lately, still waiting for the tires. However I was able to get new handle bars and the stem I needed (will post later). I've have also been thinking about safety lately so to have peace of mind I intend to replace my current forks with similar ones equipped for V-brakes...

    aluminati v. 2.0

Whoa! I never knew that could happen (the locking of the tire bit). I can't remember the last time I had a nasty spill, let alone going over the bars like that. I hope you're feeling better.
