Here's some more photos of this baby. Not hitting the trails yet as we really have to go out of our way to find one. In the meantime I will have to make do with the city's potholes, hehehe :-)

Thanks brother! One of the arch frames have since been sold and the rest are queued on my projects list. Also if a frame was available I'm living in Manila, Philippines! :-)

Now that's an idea! I'd probably look for a better background though. hehehe :-)

Oh definitely, we were like little kids let loose in Willy Wonka's factory. As for the frames and parts, the owner doesn't have a clue either. It was brought to their junk shop to be chopped, sorted and sent out to be melted. Seeing as all the frames were still wrapped in plastic and whole sacks...

Much appreciated sir! Funny that you mentioned the truss frame as I already have the tires, rims, fork and handlebars for it! I'll probably be sleeping in the living room as soon as my wife learns about my next project though! haha!

Thanks buddy! No idea about the manufacturers, our guess they’re local or Taiwanese and Japanese made. Yes, they were all new and unused, still wrapped in plastic and left there to rot. There were also dozens of sacks of sprockets, axles, spokes, and assorted parts. We suspect it was an old bike...

Oh yeah, can't wait to get my hands on that one as well. I've also recently built a mini velo but my god daughter kinda took over it so this would probably be mine :)

So here's my latest build and this is the first time I went dumpster diving. I went there four days later after one of my bike club buddies posted on Facebook (Oct 1) a pick spot in one of the districts of Manila. I went there on a Monday morning and it was already raided by several bike...

Wow, this just blew my mind. I didnt realize the level of musicianship those guys had. Thanks for sharing Barry!

Yup there were quite a few where I grew up in Manila. They told me stories about Subic back in the day and how it rocked in the 70's-80's. I eventually got to play there myself sometime in the mid 90's with my own rock band fulfilling a lifelong dream of playing onstage on one of the bars along...

    Z-BARED BOBBER STYLE..AND GANG

One of my favorite builds in RRB! Very inspirational! One question though, doesn't that rear fender rattle when you ride it since it isn't mounted with braces, just that bolt to the frame? I tried it on one of my bikes and it rattled :-)

Sweet ride! Is that a Philippine flag saddle, looks cool. Are you Pinoy?

I know you sir and Wildcat would enjoy this flickr page. No bikes but the sight of old Subic might bring back old memories. I wish I was there to experience it, just heard stories of how epic it was from old neighborhood hippies. Unfortunately I was just born in 1973 :-| Here's the link, enjoy...

Awesome photos Barry! I only saw this today, I'm glad you got to Mr. Lee's place. It's also good to know you were escorted by a bike patrol. Marikina sure is a city where they got their act together when it comes to being bike friendly with their lanes and that place! :-)

Thanks for your comment and looking forward to your build. To answer your questions, the photoshopped image was just an approximation of the actual frame which I eventually used. It is a generic chrome 20" canti from Taiwan or China which most of our unbranded bicycle parts comes from. I really...
