    swedish "gripen" 3 bar klunker

So "riverstream.se", in the spirit of Swedish bikes is this Klunker gonna be Husqvarna red with chrome forks since there isn't a gas tank with chrome knee slap areas? Funny story... My uncles use to race enduros, highest level was like ISDT 2 day qualifiers in New England, both rode Husky 250's...

WINTER BUILD-OFF 2015! RULES HERE. Finished.

I'm in! Possibly two entries, another board track bike (which I would need done before the Dunedin show, so the timing works out great). The other is a "Ratty" concept I'd been toying with titled "Open Wound", just not sure which frame I wanna use for that one? Of course I still need to finish...

    Personally interesting "WWW" find...

"I do believe that your skepticism about the design's viability in the market would definitely sour ol' Dan's enthusiasm about making you a sponsor/rep/spokesperson for the brand, and understandably so. Probably would've been cooler if your brother hadn't mentioned it." Oh I'm not certain that...

    Personally interesting "WWW" find...

Yeah but at $2500 I wouldn't admire it too much, nothing very prolific about it beyond the belt drive. All the innovation was in the first prototype and most of it was streamlined away for "off the shelf" stuff like the IG rear hub. Rare? Yes, but only because it never went into true production...

    Personally interesting "WWW" find...

Thanks, yea I saw that, I'm waiting to hear back from my brother and probably going to let him give them the skinny, if not Dan himself. I also found this stuff, I believe my brother machined the crank arms they have: http://mombat.org/MOMBAT/PartsForSalePages/crank_pedal_bb.html That bike for...

    Personally interesting "WWW" find...

I was getting a little curious after being on a thread regarding somebody building a klunker, so naturally I referred to the MOMBAT site. While I was jumping around and checking out the "For Sale" section I stumbled across this: http://www.mombat.org/MOMBAT/Bikes/1995_DanEd_Purp.html This was...

Wanting to build a klunker. Need a Schwinn DX, preferably tall but if not I will make due.

Well of course, that logic pretty much holds true for anyone who was being mechanically propelled as fast as possible... but it doesn't stop folks from spending thousands to replicate the past. There's a couple of ways to look at it, it all depends on what the builder is going for, are you...

Wanting to build a klunker. Need a Schwinn DX, preferably tall but if not I will make due.

The only problem with that logic (Girl's frame that is) is now if you can't weld yourself, how much are you going to end up spending to put together a temporary frame? I don't know how tall the OP is, but yes that may well be the way to go if an actual DX frame is gonna be that small on him. The...

Son of Satan WWII bomber tribute build.

I don't want to take anything away from the switchblade shifter, but man it would be cool if you could actually get your hands on an original bomb release lever for use as a shifter, they weren't that big so it'd fit... No, I have no idea where to get one, short of going to the Airplane...

    new 1937 columbia 3 star

Well seeing the price of some of the seats out there I guess I can sympathize. Not working myself, has me doing all kinds of stuff I wouldn't otherwise try if I was working... Get your minds out of the gutter, I'm talking about stuff like building wheels!!!:acute:

OK, it's not a rat bike... it's now the "Big Boy G.I.Joe" toy

Hah! From military bomb proof utilitarian transportation... to rat rod'd speed bump devastator!

OK, it's not a rat bike... it's now the "Big Boy G.I.Joe" toy

Well about time for an update on the "Big Boy G.I. Joe" toy... Had a bit of a set back on this project in that it wasn't (and still isn't) finished in time for our Veterans Boat Parade for reasons beyond my control... Major eye surgery which has resulted in a cataract that now needs...

Futuristic cruisers for the next generation?

"Hmmm, the future... heard about it. Never seen it. Sounds like bull to me..." ("Repoman" quote I think) Simplicity and retro... That's the future, what comes around goes around... or something like that!

    "The Chain" custom bicycle magazine????

I was just messing around on Facebook and ran across this page for "The Chain", apparently a print magazine for custom bicycles... Does anybody know anything about this mag actually being published, and if so where to subscribe? I searched to see if hey had a website but didn't find anything...

    ski bike

Actually had one as a kid, it was laid out pretty much like a minibike frame only a bit taller and narrower. The seat had two dampening shocks on the rear. Really didn't go all that well on it's own on a snowy hill, worked best being towed behind Dad's Yamaha 175 or a snowmobile... That's when...
