bigred407's low budget Powerlite Industries trike build.

Been thinking about the possibility of removing the original seat all together and somehow making the wooden board on the back into a bench style seat. opinions?

Yeah and you'll get no compensation from them either I'll bet.

How to fade chrome/make it dull??

Hi guys, go a little trike build on the go. It has some chrome bars and mudguards I'm looking to make look a lot more corroded or at least lose the shine from it. The rear mudguards are already rusted up a little but wouldn't mind knowing how to hurry it along a little. The bars aren't too bad...

Show me your bikes with mag wheels!

All cool looking bikes. Gotta love a set of mag wheels.

bigred407's low budget Powerlite Industries trike build.

The seat does have some adjustment, but is already as far back as it will go. Our son is only 5 but tall for his age. He can still ride it, just. Was thinking on trying to find a fibreglass replica tractor seat and maybe mount it on the wood panel between the rear wheels somehow to give it a bit...

bigred407's low budget Powerlite Industries trike build.

I have decided to attempt a hopefully simple and less stressful build while i give my Moulton problems some more thought. This is a cheap little kids trike our son used but has been festering outside for a while now. IMG_0228 by paulfletcher5, on Flickr IMG_0227 by paulfletcher5, on Flickr...

    Rollfast. some changes

Pffft after costs I'd be as well letting HMRC take my pants down and paying the duty!! :D

    New Lowrider build

That's one of the newer models, which also runs 16" wheels. Mine is a 1960's model which was built 7/8 of the full size version and runs 14" wheels instead of the usual 16" wheels. The idea behind it was to be a better size for children to ride & also for the average height woman from that era...

    Rollfast. some changes

Yeah, I appreciate that. however, I live in the U.K. So anything I bought to have shipped, I would then be stung to high heaven by HM Revenue & Customs for import duty.

    New Lowrider build

Moulton Mini is a small version of a classic small wheeled British bike. Designed by the late Sir Alex Moulton. Interesting little bikes.

    New Lowrider build

I had a go at stick welding many years ago at college. my problem is I have no workshop space!! I have a Moulton Mini build on the go but having a little builders block!! Also got my eye on a frame on evil bay for a cycle speedway style build.

    New Lowrider build

Unusual good!! Very talented build and great vision. Interesting you're using box section to build the frame too. Nice to see you ain't afraid to push on with the build in spite of not being great at welding, everyone has to start somewhere. i can't even weld!!

    Hi from Staffordshire, UK

Hello mate, welcome. Fellow U.K. member. *edit* also, just had a look at the Atomic Zombie Recumbent. Looks cool, be sure to post a build thread!!

    Dry spell?

In the U.K. the dry spell of cool old bikes for sale seems to be dry on a permanent basis. Either that or everything is pie in the sky price wise.

    Measuring correct stem size??

I'm determined to find a solution of some sort. Not really looking to go to the extremities of butchering the frame like the one pictured, but it might come to that yet!!

I was digging in the garage last night.

    Buried treasure!!

Great looking bikee, something like that would be perfect for me. Pity stuff like that is as rare as hens teeth over here...

    Measuring correct stem size??

If only I'd picked a model that's easier to deal with for my first rat rod project...:(
