2 Quick Builds - Western Flyer Rat Update

Both look good but the Western is my favourite.

    Fender Lizard

All those ideas are very cool, have definitely made me think twice about running my Moulton fenderless. Lizard is cool as it's quite discreet, almost wouldn't notice it, bottle cap is a nice signiature mod for your sale bikes too. As for the flying 8 ball...genius!

    Nooob intro, Scotland U.K.

I'm right in the middle of Edinburgh & Glasgow. I live in a small town called Cowie just outside Stirling & pretty much next to Bannockburn. I'm about 30 minutes drive by Motorway/Freeway from either.

Need to fill in some holes in my Moultonframe & wheel advice needed.

They have been left in when the frame was (very badly!) painted. I would probably just buff the paint off and paint over them again, or get some replacement stainless ones.

To be fair, there's only one screw that's really visible. Evan at that it's only M3/M4 at most.

Need to fill in some holes in my Moultonframe & wheel advice needed.

I was hoping to attempt painting the frame myself, not always that enamoured with the finish of powder coating. I might try JB Weld or an equivalent to plug the holes. Either that or I could just leave the holes and fit them with discreet bolts as they aren't extremely visible, although I did...

Can JB Weld be sanded down once it goes hard though?

Thanks mikeebikey I think I'll have a go with some Nitro Mors stripper, in no real rush so can provide the patience needed stripping the frame. Plus it means it's one more job in the build I've done myself!!

Need to fill in some holes in my Moultonframe & wheel advice needed.

Sorry, I was using "sand blasted" as a general term. The place I use also do powdercoating etc, so I'll make sure nothing too harsh is used. I would even attempt stripping it myself, but fear I would struggle to find anything to take all the old paint off cleanly & completely.

    Nice bike, amazing classic look.

Need to fill in some holes in my Moultonframe & wheel advice needed.

Hey guys, as per my thread in the build section, I have a Moulton Mini I'm currently stripping down to rat/rod out. The frame used to have a plastic chainguard, which I have cut off and disguarded. I am now left with three threaded holes in the frame which are now redundant. Just wondering...

    Del mar crusteration

I would definitely keep as much of the original rust as possible. To me it's all part of the bikes story.

Let's see your BMX Rat Rod!

The GT has turned out really well, the apes look brilliant on it.

    NO NAME BOBBER

Unusual idea having spokes and all powder coated, or maybe that's just me. Look really good though, hence why I asked. What's the base bike, an Electra?
