They had one of these Biomega Puma folding bikes at a local pawn shop that I could have bought for ninety bucksBut I was afraid I'd break it.

OCC has it on the 24x2.10 front tire. Schwinn Stingray to be exact. Not sure about the rear as my parts bike didn't come with the back wheel. Also bought a couple of 26" wheels at a garage sale that have 1.95 hybrid looking Schwinn white letter tires.

Like I said above, it gives me a reason to build up three bike frames that I had no immediate plans for. And one that I didn't have a clear direction on. Along with using mostly parts that I already had that didn't have a defined purpose. I plan on purchasing one set of $19 ape hangers. But not...

I have no delusions of winning the contest. But I do have quite a few cans of spray paint along with a plethora of otherwise useless parts that seem to have suddenly found a purpose. That particular bike will be built with all used accumulated parts, none of it's own. And one or two homemade...

Although I am partial to metallic in greens and blues. Surly's Moonlit Swamp is very subtle, sparkly, and calming. Would look good with a mix of black and silver/aluminum/chrome components. Makes me feel good just looking at it.

Thanks for the info! I had been considering this option only with the plan to glue the insert in place, but wasn't sure it would be strong enough. Going ahead with plans to get the supported, further laid back seatpost now.

Yeah. That looks like a nice bike with cool sprocket, crank, and pedals. That Kona wasn't really in rideable shape when I got it. Going to a single speed was the most economical option.

I had a dream, that I only had three bikes. My klunkruiser, the old Kona AA SS with three wheelsets(big nobbies, little nobbies, and slicks),and one yet to be obtained newer mtb with an extra road wheelset. And I could fit them all in the back of the pickup for the ride out to the RRB jamboree.

More of a "klunkruiser":D 4-speed IGH, and I'm told that the Sunlite fork might bend if I'm too rough with it. But the rear stays on this particular Schwinn (of no known origin) are gusseted and extra beefy. Still need to add a front brake.

One of the bikes I'm remodeling for the Muscle Bike Build Off looks way worse than that. And it's a made in Little Rock AMF!!:bigsmile:
