You can get tubeless valves at any bike shop that has mountain bikes. Most of them are presta valves, but Stans offers a Schrader valve too... Or you can set them up split tube, that way works well too.....

We did a 5 mile ride on Monday, it was GREAT! His only complaint is that the grips are a bit thick, and he asked if I can paint the handlebars black, because the silver is distracting... LOL So, I ordered some new grips, and will paint his bar black... Then this bike is DONE!

Thanks KingFish. Today I got the parts that were given him installed. Now the bike has a Thomson seat post and Magura wave rotors. The XTR rear derailer wouldn't climb onto the 42t rear sprocket, so the XT is staying on. Weight now is 32.07 pounds!

Well its a rider. The only things left are to clean up the paint, and lengthen the bars. I went to do the bars this morning, but ALL my extra bars are aluminum, Ill look around for a trash steel bar to cut the ends off of. The longer I have it, the more the yellow grows on me. Im not...

Thanks OddJob. I love the basic shape of the bars, so I am just going to weld on 2" to each side.

The saddle is a Charge. I had it in the parts pile. Its not terribly comfy, but decent for now. I just went out and scooted around with no cranks on it. The bars are a bit little narrow, I think ill weld on about 2" to each side. The lock on grips will cover the seams anyway. The rear...

Tonight I got the rear wheel built and mounted. Also got the bars on and hooked the brakes up. I'm waiting for a bottom bracket adapter to show up so I can get the cranks on and button it up!

I got the rear end spaced out for the 135mm hub, and did a trial run with the front fork I want to use. So far so good....

Frame just got here!! It easily fits the 3.0 tire. Now I need to decide if i am going to have a shock on the front or not. And I need to order some parts....

Which Brake Levers Do I Need?

On my Klunker build I am going to have a Disc brake in the front, and a drum brake in the rear. I know that I need a brake lever for V-brake/disc for the front, but will that work on the drum, or do I need a canti style lever for the drum?

    (ORBO) Massif Build

I am holding off doing a finished build post until a couple parts come in later this week. A member of MTBR saw this build over there and was nice enough to send me some parts that may be lighter than whats on there now..... I will know tomorrow, but I think there are some nice 100g brake...

If you can weld..... Use a 10x1 metric nut and weld it to your frame under the dropout. Then your derailer can screw into it.....
