The saddle is a Charge. I had it in the parts pile. Its not terribly comfy, but decent for now. I just went out and scooted around with no cranks on it. The bars are a bit little narrow, I think ill weld on about 2" to each side. The lock on grips will cover the seams anyway.

The rear drum brake needs to be broken in. It doesn't even try to stop. But all in all, so far, I LOVE this bike.

Looks like you've got a 25.4 bar clamp area there so lots of choices if you want to look around. Some of the cruiser bars or older mtb bars with less "sweep" back will also make the bars feel wider and give you a more dynamic position on the bike. Looking good!

Well its a rider. The only things left are to clean up the paint, and lengthen the bars. I went to do the bars this morning, but ALL my extra bars are aluminum, Ill look around for a trash steel bar to cut the ends off of. The longer I have it, the more the yellow grows on me.

Im not totally sure about the pink pedals, but they are actually really nice pedals, and were in the parts bin....

I just picked up one of these Schwinn heavy dutis. They really make for a cool looking klunker. Are you going to paint it or leave it the same color?

Great crispy clean mix!

So I need to make a decision on the rear brake. Ive ridden this bike a few times, and the drum SUCKS. It looks REALLY cool though..... So, do I wait to see if the drum ever breaks in, or do I swap in a disc hub?

was the hub unused or something when you got it? ive been wanting one of those hubs in the worst way, I'm kind of bummed out to hear that it doesn't work so good.

I really don't know if it was new or used. I can see where are very slight marks on it from being laced, but it was impeccably clean, so it may have been removed from a tandem early on.
