    starting my build

I remember reading somewhere (likely this site) that you can use a bottom bracket cup to 'stack' 2 single speed freewheels to gain extra clearance, might look a bit cleaner than a five speed with four empty sprockets. :39:

Looks like lots of room for fat tire compared to the anemic looking OCC fork next to it. Nice to have access to top quality tools. :113:

Looks straighter than my first attempt. Don't worry, most haters are jealous coz they don't have the skills to even begin a build. It's not like it's your 10th scratch build. I'd keep the idea of the springer, you can always stiffen it up if it's too bouncy. I think the bike would look...

Thanks Dash: I've been playing with electrics for a number of years, I'll be happy to advise you if you're interested. An electric kit can be installed in about an hour. The bad news is all the money is up front and then costs virtually nothing to operate for years after.

    Alejandro's Garage

That's a lot of square tubing. Some amazing looking fab work there. It would be nice to see some of the the finished bikes. I have to get myself a tubing roller...soon. Never would have thought square tube could have such a smooth flowing look to it. :41:

Here's yesterday's work, not quite finished and in need of some covers. Alot of things would go quicker with a milling machine instead of an angle grinder and dremel...

Thanks guys: Working on a set of covered drop outs for the rear wheel at the moment and the snap in covers for the fork/shock holes arrived this week too.

    v 4.0

Hello all: We have a craft brewery a few blocks from our house where I often take one of my ebikes to pick up my evenings' beverage and when I arrive the owner often says "I see you're riding my bike again". A couple of months ago he came out to check my electric bike and after a short tour was...

No problem, it'd look cool even if it doesn't 'fix' the problem. What happened to www.Jonsbigbikes.com, the link doesn't seem to work...:39:

Well, that answers the age old question of "how low can you go?" I would nickname it the 'Limbo Bike'. You could fab a steering dampener from a small shock to help smooth out some of that wheel flop. At least if you tip over after your beer run, you won't have far to fall.

    The Double Barrel

Nice to see more scratch builds. Great flowing lines on that frame. After all that work, it really feels good when things finally come together. :cool2:

    The Plastic Machine

That's way too cool. A truly modern classic. Is the type of material used hard like plexiglass or closer to a cutting board? What other cool one-off's have you built on your coffee breaks? :113:

Building Low Rider E- Boom Bike(2 in 1 project)

The writing in the background was my clue to your location. That's a great package to come fully assembled. The addition of a small motor can make riding any custom a pleasure. Great work!

anyone own a izip e3 sumo fat tire bike

http://electricbikereview.com/izip/e3-sumo/ This site says 9/10 stars about the bike. Bafang now make a mid drive kit with the wide crankset for fat bikes, find a bike you like and convert it, that's another option...

Building Low Rider E- Boom Bike(2 in 1 project)

Great idea! Of course riding a mobile boom box does take a little of the stealth factor away. That frame looks very much like some of the ones made by Sam McKay (firebikes) here in Canada. Did it come new as a fully built bike? I'm surprised no one would ship you a frame, perhaps you're in Korea?

    Nanaimo Bars

Check my location, what else could I call them? Integrated stem system, in side profile they sweep slightly forward, then back as they come up and change from 1" to 7/8" for the controls and grips, very solid. I didn't spend a lot of time blending or filling the welds, just bombed 'em black to...
