    BOTEN - The Scrapper

Looking good John: That's the beauty of forums, there's so much info and inspiration to be gained from the work of others'. I've seen some amazing jigs on this and other sites (Matt on ES especially) with cool aluminum extrusions and lathe turned head tube cones, etc. But on a real world budget...

1953 NSU Quick52 Moped Electric conversion

If you have a look at my scooter conversion, you'll see how I solved the problem of no where to mount the caliper. The adapter goes over the axle and slides back and forth with the wheel to maintain the correct position with the disc. I've made three of these for projects, they work well. If you...

E-bike/scooter conversion: illegal in every province!

In the eyes of the law here, it must be an e-bike coz it has pedals and is grossly underpowered. I thought I'd post it to inspire others (or give you all a good laugh). I originally bought this e-scooter because it was a give away price and the motor looked like one guys on endless-sphere have...

    Caterham Vintage Style Tank E-Bike

Those E-trackers are beautiful bikes and ride awesome! My friend has one, I believe it starts as a Felt frame and is re-worked by hand. Crystalite motor, 3000 watt controller, feels very solid and well balanced to ride.

You could just use the regen braking and not worry about the rear disc.

2014 Schwinn Super DX with motor

Nice and stealthy, few people would realize what's really going on. Good to see a manufacturer finally bringing beer drinking and biking together in one package :p

    I drag Esther

Very cool, I thought it was going to become a slingshot pedal car at first. Looks great but must need a four lane to turn around on. Any video forthcoming?

    Electric Drift Trike

A little more video for you. This is v2.0 of this frame with the same components. Main difference is increased wall thickness of the 1.5" tube, now 0.95 instead of 0.65 which I managed to fold due to torture testing. I also added a bolt on mount for the rear axle to make transportation easier.

    Electric Drift Trike

Here's another electric build for me, first e-drift trike though. It's so much fun that I've already started an upgraded frame:

    electric motor

Hub motor in front or back wheel, about $350 + another $500 for a battery. Very easy to install, long lasting with minimal maintenance. With electric, the cost is nearly all up front. Try to mount your battery as low as possible, the batteries with a slide on mount can be attached to the side of...

    Agent Orange

The air ride bike I built used one of those bent springers, the way I got around the sag was to take a piece of air hose and put it inside the spring. When the fork sags it compresses the rubber hose but still leaves some suspension working. Try that, I'm sure you'll be happy with the action...

    Fun with curves

Hopefully the worst is behind you, nice to see you back at this project. The lines on this build are great, it all has a nice flow. Looks like you went with a head tube afterall, are you building a springer too? Now it's in need of some custom bent handlebars and seat to finish things off.

I have used these in the past for dune buggy projects, coupler, plus stub shafts that fit them. Hope it helps

    Indian board track racer

This build is coming out great, I love the way you've filled in the spaces around the motor. Once everything is painted it'll blend together well. It really helps disguise the origin of the motor until you start looking closer. That helmet was a great find too!

    test

Don't give up now, you've nearly got the pic posting issue sorted:banana:. If you want remote steering for your project, you could build something similar to the steering on this recycled recumbent I built a few years ago. PM me if you need some direction. What are you building, do you have a...

    Midwest backyard build

Great job on the tank, the others look cool too. I'd like a bit more rake on the fork but I'm sure yours ride and handle nicely as is. Very inspiring, I'm sure others' will copy.

    Simply Red

Just a quick update: The electric drive is now operational and I've managed to work out most of the bugs. There are still a few things to do like constructing the head/tail lights, adjust the brakes, plus some other wiring and detail work. For now I've decided to change out the double crown fork...

    Air Ride Bike

Thanks for you ideas, I really appreciate your input. Never hesitate to push the 'post reply' button! I think the first problem with my system was the use of a double action cylinder. Having only enough experience to make me dangerous with air cylinders, I mistakenly bought a push/pull cylinder...
