    Left side drivetrain

I'm glad to find this thread. I've gotta Trike build that I wanna do where I need both rear wheels to be driven and freewheeled. Can I take and just flip one rim over and then put a left side drive on it. That way I'd have both wheels driven, left and right. Or would I have a problem of some sort?

A day at the beach with Rat B. Nimble

Thanks Robeast! The bike is a blast to ride and is faster than a greased pig. ShaggyEvil has it now and he's put his "Freak" on it. Shaggy thanks for posting the link, I knew I forgot something!

I was really hoping Gotavan would jump at this thread. The guy's got some of the coolest collectibles I've ever seen! If he doesn't post, you ALL are missing some great stuff! I'll try to get ahold of him soon.

    Winter Burrito Build Off

Thanks guys, Stretch posted all this early in the thread but I thought it should be bumped up so the new guys would have have an easy reference point in starting their builds. Many times I see bikes called Burritos just cause they are low, or stretched or hang out in front of Taco Bell waiting...

    Creative Bike Storage

HighShip, Wildcats post is pretty much the norm for most of us. I sometimes turn the handlebars to the side and take off the pedals when I hang mine. It just gets things a little closer and gives room for another bike or two. I only do the hanging with non painted rims, the painted ones get...

Learnin' The Ropes (A Thread for Newbie Scratch Builders)

If you ask a professional welder, 9 times outta 10 they'll you that flux core is junk, it won't hold together or something else that is negative. For starting out or for those who only have a 110 system, those cheap or inexpensive flux core welders are ideal. Many of the guys started out and...

A day at the beach with Rat B. Nimble

This was taken by wife (Gigs) while we were in OakVille, Ontario Canada. That's Lake Ontario behind the bike. The previous day the FreakBike Militia - Golden Horshoe and the FreakBike Militia - Great Lakes joined forces in a ride for cancer research called Bike 4 Betty. This bike is now painted...

    Winter Burrito Build Off

The history and definition of a Burrito. Just thought this should be reposted for anyone thinking about entering but not sure what's going on. From the original CBN post ...... Well after a few people kicked around the idea of a handbook for Burrito's, I decided to get it started. This is just...

    Winter Burrito Build Off

Anti, I like the overall look of your bike, but what's with all the bottom brackets? I'm not knocking it, just curious. Are you gonna use them as jackshafts or move the pedals up to the top one? Or? I think some moon bars would look good on it. Z bars would also be cool if you can reach them...

    20" wheels on 26" frame...

Thanks Cman! I'll try to go thru the thread later tonight and piece in the deleated pictures to bring this back to life. Gigs moved stuff around last year and the pics got deleted. I do have most of the pics! I looked for the thread but the search didn't bring it up for me. Thanks!

    20" wheels on 26" frame...

Thanks Doc! I'm in the process of updating the FBN Gallery and I'm going thru ALOT of pics, when I get to Nok Nok's I'll make sure I look. I think I know where some of them are. I thought we had this bike in our archives but it was actually an older build and was documented on CBN (RIP  )...

    26"X3" Tires

I believe the Jeralds were 2.125. All I know of that is still available is the Kenda Flames. Petri and Sons had some at the Lincoln Park store the last I knew. If you decide to get any, you'd better do it soon. The Autorama builders will be looking for them soon. What do you want them for? They...

New pics 04/28/11 RAT ROD mountain bike!!! :)

Re: "rat rod" look for a 1998 Schwinn Straight 6 ??? Who are you .... Andre the Giant's son? I've built a couple of 11 footers and their monsters! Another foot will probably put the bike in two seperate zip codes when you ride it! Keep the progress going! I'm definitely keeping an eye...

    Wide 24" wheels

Try Choppers US. I'm not sure of the metric/american conversions but he has 80mm and 100mm, if the rim you looking for is smaller, I'm sure he can still hook you up. Also pretty good chance your local bike shop can order you the size you want.

    The B-2

Spin, I've meaning to comment on this bike since the start but I always seem to get sidetracked. You and HorseyMan came up with a great looking bike! I really miss the old days when Eric pumped out some of the coolest bike the world had ever seen. You're doing the bike proud with your ideas. I'm...

    20" wheels on 26" frame...

Not sure what year this frame is from but it's a newer style 26" Huffy Cruiser type. I put 20" rims with 20x3" tires on it. The tires give the bike a little more height than regular 20s. The crank is original to the bike when I found it, no significant problems with pedals dragging. I threw it...
