Ok. Santa brought me some new handlebars, so here is an updated pic of my Royce Union.

I've used a simple method... To get grips off the handle bars simply heat water (over stove/in microwave) and let the grip sit in the water for several minutes. Grab the grip tightly (with a rag- remember its HOT!) and twist them off with my hands. No tools as I was worried about damaging them...

I like the way it turned out. Very clean look to it. Is it clear-coated?

Since the lamp is from a motorcycle it's a 12 volt. I tried connecting it to my little 6v generator on the front tire, but not enough juice so for now it's kinda jerry-rigged. I got two 6 volts in series (you can see them above the chain guard in 1 pic) with an alligator-clip on/off switch...
