Heres a preview of almost done..... And some wheel building. Having 2 little ones & 1 income i have learned how to save money everywhere. I bought 500 spokes for $50.oo on ebay, so i pay $10.oo to have them cut to size and for the nipples.... (love nipples) Learned to build wheels on u-tube

Does any one have a good link or web sight tutorial for lacing / building 36 spoke 3 cross wheels. They are 26". Thanks, Daniel

I'm using a shelby shockease fork for the build off and am not familliar with the fork or fork parts. The pivot point on the fork is very stiff, I lubed it and worked back n forth to get some smoothe full range movement, but still just feals really stiff. Is this common? Also I'm not sure if it...

I really like how u worded the whole rat rod meaning! I think some people have forgot that part! My first build off also, so good luck bro!!!

Here's my rims i painted tan and pin striped black today, Still learning the whole pinstriping.... tape off is easy but free hand is practice practice practice. You can also see my stem that i painted with clear paint. Remove the rust, shine it up & paint with clear. Poor mans chrome!!!

Here's my frame & shelby shockease fork that I painted today. I used Nason (automotive,dupont manufactureer) paint, deep red. Devil's Darling is slowly coming together. More to come!!

Here's a repair to the frame i did today, hoping to shoot paint tommorrow. I wanted to also document the wife doing some blasting for the bike & show off the truing stand i will use to build up the wheels. I think the truing stand is early 1900's but not sure. My wife bought it for me for Xmas...

The first blury pic shows my rims painted, a cream color. Sorry it was so bad. The second shows paint removed from the frame and fork. The stem was heavly pitted so i hit it with 80 grit on my die grinder then smoothed her out with agressive 3M pad on die grinder. Need to weld on the frame then...

well.. I got a shelby shockease that i wanted to use for this build but would not fit my frame. So this is change #1 and a scramble to finish on time.

I go back n forth between them. 47" Columbia & some 40's Shelby.
