I straightened the fork as best I could and it is by no means perfect. The steerer tube has a slight bend that won't allow the headset bearing races to lie parallel to each other. I left the adjusment a little loose to prevent binding. The bike handled well enough on my test ride, but I don't...

    Western Flyer, Elgin ? ballooner

These curvy frames always catch my eye. I didn't get any of the back story about this bike. It came up for auction at our local thrift shop. I won with the amazingly low bid od $26 Cdn. I was prepared to go as high as a hundred, but there were no other serious bidders. What a gift! I really...

28" wheels. original fenders collected now. I may build it with later model wheels until period correct ones show up, or not. The fork will be a challenge as it is both bent and twisted. I think I have the patience and know-how to get it straightened out.

These remains of this 1965 CCM Rambler are wanting to be a functioning bike once again. This project will be simmering on the back burner as I focus on more immeddiate projects.

What have you been riding lately?

Rocky Mountain Hammer Race today on this trail not far from my home plus a generous amount of gravel roads with a sprinkling of pavement. This bike is so much fun. Previous owner broke the rear deraileur and twisred the chain and then offered it for sale at $20 Cdn. When I spotted the advert, I...

    Ingolas - Finds up north!

The Saskatoon tag is my fav. item in the box but I am sure to find the other bits to come in handy from time to time.

    Ingolas - Finds up north!

A friend of mine that hauls junk and does clean ups, gifted me a funky box full of old bike bits. Its good to let people know about your hobby. The bar tape price was $1.39 probably from about 1980.

    Jude's finds

You may find that it has a sealed beam lamp in the housing. Nice find just the same. And a belated congrats for your skinny wheel entry. I thought it was a winner from the start.

    Ingolas - Finds up north!

Reporting from the westernmost province of this north country. I found something interesting at a thrift store a while back. The biplane fork crown and bull moose caught my eye at first and I thought that the crankset looked kinda desirable, so I coughed up the $20 and loaded into my pickup...

    Jude’s Red Rider: final pic’s

Nice, and very red. A cohesive build. I like it a lot.

    Old Glory

Did a double take on the reflector sticker. Took a minute to realise the significance. Good one.

    Which bike to buy?

For me it would be the TREK.

    Fenders or Fenderless ?

I think the bike looks unmolested and more complete with fenders.
