I've thought about something like this. Making a springer or hurst style fork.

Those are cheap walmart bikes. You may run in to steering issues with the brake backwards. Easiest way would be to cut the brake mount off and spin the forkd around and reweld. You'll have cable interference with vbrakes and cantis would be out of the question.

I believe duplicolor or PPG has automotive paint in a spraycan, too.

Probably because they lack that center hump bicycle bars usually have.
