JGood, I do remove plastic pieces that are holding the rubber grip and prevent it from sliding with a saw, just leaving three or two of them for better shifting when you twist the shifter.

I'm Using 2,5" for rear 3" rim and 2,10" for front 3" rim and there are absolutely no problems with it as soon as I use 2,5"-2,7" downhill tubes.

Thanks for reply, mate. I've tried making an L bracket from headlight mounting bracket, but there is about 3" gap between steering tube bottom and tire, so it looks totally unaesthetic. I believe there should be other way to mount the fender, come clamps attached to a fork tubes for example. dunno
