The shift rod moved easily. The bell crank is binding. I really don't want all those cables for brakes or shifting. Tried a cruiser 26", coaster brake cruiser wheel set. Fit as long as I used 26x2 instead of 26x2.125. Also used a taller stem and wider bars. Much better. Now I will put it...

Whoever was working on it left out a serrated part of the seat clamp on each side and that made the seat impossible to set. I changed to a complete clamp and all was well.

That's what I figured. If I can't find one I could find a long coupling nut that thread and fix a cable to it. I'll need a shifter too.

They came both as a threaded three piece crank BB and a cone/cup one piece crank. Both examples appear above. Hope this helps.

Found this Polish made bike out for the trash in my south Florida neighborhood this morning. We get european residents here who own second homes. Especially winter seasonal folks.
