28" York single tube/New Departure axle nut

Looking for one 28" single tube that will hold air (for display only as they say), preferably York brand. I also need one front axle nut for my 1928-33 Elgin with New Departure axle (5/16 fine thread specific to that axle). Let me know if you have one of either, thanks! Sent from my SM-G950U...

    1935 Shelby Western Flyer

Bought this bike off of here a few weeks ago, still needs a few odds and ends but mostly back together. Probably my favorite bike in my collection right now, just has a great look, thought I'd share.

28" Elgin Motorbike year and questions

This bike is going to come together nicely. A light sanding with some 0000 grit steel wool, degreaser, and coat of linseed oil and the paint is going to be amazing. I need to locate a matching tank (ya, good luck, right?)...

28" Elgin Motorbike year and questions

What am I missing? I can't see any other numbers besides these two?

28" Elgin Motorbike year and questions

It's a New Departure model "C". As for the serial number, all I'm seeing under there is S5 at this point.

28" Elgin Motorbike year and questions

Im just not sure, maybe the serial number will steer us in the right direction. I was trying to go by paint scheme and what I could find online, was hoping the chain ring might be a one year only or something since it seems like an oddity. It does have metal clad wheels.

28" Elgin Motorbike year and questions

I picked this bike up recently off of here and was wondering if someone could help me out with a few questions. First off, been trying to figure out the year. Thought originally it was 1928-1930 but now I'm thinking it's a bit later? I'll try to get the serial number tonight if that would...

    1986 Diamondback Viper

I posted this over on the vintage bmx forum but that forum doesn't seem to get much traffic so I thought I'd try over here. I grew up in the 80's, would have killed for something like this. It was advertised as a "Hot Streak" but appears to be a Viper. I haven't seen another Viper set up...

    1986 Diamondback Viper

A couple of months ago, I saw this bike on the Facebook Marketplace but at the time, I didn't really have the cash nor the space for another bike. It seemed like a fair price but again, the circumstances didn't allow it. Fast forward, last week I sold a few bikes and like a typical bike guy, I...

Picked up a Sears Screamer today...

Got it home today, pretty excited about this one too. Rides great, just needs some cleaning but it's a great survivor. I'll start a new post about it later.

'86 Diamondback Hot Streak. I'll update the bmx forum when I actually get it. Edit: guess its actually a Viper but still cool as heck as far as I'm concerned.

Picked up a Sears Screamer today...

Well, a conclusion to the story. I ended up selling the bike to a guy down by St Louis who's brother had one growing up. He plans to restore it and give it to him and he's been looking for one for a while. He's super excited and I feel good about it. I think the better owner ended up with...

Picked up a Sears Screamer today...

I actually may be trading someone who has more time to mess with it. If it falls through, I plan to buy a 5 gallon bucket of evaporust and get going. I'm ok with it either way but it will be a slow process if I'm in charge of it. Appreciate the encouragement from everyone! Sent from my...

Picked up a Sears Screamer today...

Found him today on eBay actually, thanks for that. Not gonna lie, it's been a rough night messing with it. It's pretty damn close to the parting out stage, it's just about beyond crusty and my skill level. May need to take a step back and just hang it up for a while and think it over. Kind...

Is the rear wheel the same on both bikes? The wheel on the Murray seems to be the better of the two, was hoping to swap it over. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Picked up a Sears Screamer today...

You guys all have too much knowledge[emoji3] . I traded for this stuff in the rain, basically gave him my bike, tossed the three in the car and was on my way. Had a party to go to when I got home and then company after that. I obviously don't even know what I have. I just know enough to know...
