    My first build for profit

I would be sure to remove the stem and forks the grease the bearings before giving it to the lady. You may have to end up cutting it off, but it would be cheap and easy to replace them. Who knows when the last time the headset was lubed? :)

    My Schwinn project. Updated 05.07.08

Re: My project I think it looks pretty neat in its original state. I have always had good luck taking a Saturday to completely tear down a bike, clean it up, wax it, then put it back together. This way, you get all the nooks, and small areas clean to. That old paint will really buff up nice.

Nice bikes! You might be surprised at how nice the original paint on your blue Schwinn tanker will shine up, plus nice original paint specimens are getting pretty hard to find. Heres a good example of one cleaned up.

Great looking middleweights! I rode my Jetfire X-64 to work yesterday. Sorry for the crappy (inverted) picture. Notice the customers dog sniffing around the rear wheel.

    New Murray Jetfire X64

Hey guys. I bought a Murray Jetfire X64 middleweight off of thecabe, and it just came in the mail today. I have always had a soft spot for middle weights, and for $65 I couldn't let er go. Sadly the shop that packed it up did a crappy job, and the headlight lens was busted out, and the housing...
