Hey gang, first off I wanna say thanks for everyone being so kewl on this sweet site. Secondly, this is my first build with vintage bikes, so go easy on me? I'm not exactly sure where I am going with this, but I am starting with a Early Road master luxury liner. She has been nothing but a pain to disassemble, with all the rust and dirt that has came out of her, I have named her, the "Dirty Snapper". I really appreciate any tips anyone has as I go along. Anyway, here are her first pics.

Re: The "Dirty Snapper" is born!!!

I laid the paint down a few nights ago. Ruddy Brown, seemed fitting. Got that dog legged crank pretty clean, and the skip tooth. Waiting on the bee hive, so I used the Schwinn springer. Picked up an early during the war, girls road master with some sweet black rims with red pin stripe, and blacked out Morrow hubs!!
this super deluxe 100 tank is whats going on it too. Got some wide, chunky, square fenders with the curved bars I will put on later. I want the rear end of the fender to be sitting about 1 1/2" of the ground , maybe a small mud flap? This og hairpin saddle is going on too. Thanks for all the replies!!

Re: The "Dirty Snapper" is born!!!

Heres the latest. I had to slam it together and ride it real quick like!! It is fast. Today I am stripping the curved bar fenders. I am going to use the wire wheel and put swirl marks on the rear fender and clear coat it. Then modify it so the base where it would normally attach near the bottom bracket, will now attach where the top bolt is. This will lay back the fender about 2 inches off the ground. Next I will bend the bars at the ends, like the old bmx powerlite bars. Wish me luck!!

Re: The "Dirty Snapper" is born!!!

looks good with the simple paint and hairpin saddle. I like the fenders that wrap around but I would try extending with another back down to the BB.
