    (WBO) Thor's Twins '48 DX x2

Some progress... Uncle Ronnie brought over his skills to do a little braising- Nexus roller brake tab: and derailleur tab on a '39 DX Klunker (yet another project on the bench) and I got my hands a little dirty silver soldering some escutcheons for internal cables on my dad's 47 Fatbar (yet...

How do I age cream tires?

Go to your local model supply store and pick up some weathering powders (I'm a Tamiya fanboy, but there are others). Slosh them up with some windex, slop it on and wipe off to your desire. I haven't washed them with soap yet, but rolling through puddles doesn't seem to phase it.

(WBO) SGT. ROCK finished (for now)

Wich I still had the pic, but a while back I ran into a vespa with a side car made from an airplane pedal car. Was the coolest thing I've seen in a very, very long time.

    (WBO) Thor's Twins '48 DX x2

So now that I got dad's bike posted to light a fire under his butt, time to do the same for me. Here's what I'm stating with, matching 1948 Schwinn DX's. A lot of noise in the pic from the other frames, but I didn't grab individual pics before starting to clean them up. Why two at once? Well...

(WBO) Raspberry Ice- '41 Excelsior DX

Raspberry Ice...Bougainvillea. Which now that I look at it, is about the same color as the wheels after all. Now I have to find a big patch of it for final pics :)

(WBO) Raspberry Ice- '41 Excelsior DX

Ichi- that's the one! Hopefully 'in stock soon' will be before April :) The wheels he got from Electra many years ago and are a weird not-quite-red/not-quite-pink color we decided (after a few beers) to call Raspberry. Inter-8 rear/Dynamo front with roller brakes... yummy. Traditional stock...

(WBO) Raspberry Ice- '41 Excelsior DX

BTW- anybody know if the kind gentleman who was machining the skiptooth sprockets for Nexus hubs is still around? I the deleted the link a while back and can't remember where or who it was. For some reason the world 'Lincoln' is in my head, but I don't know if that was the name of his shop, his...

(WBO) Raspberry Ice- '41 Excelsior DX

Traded my old man this '41 DX frame for a headbadge (who got the better end of that deal I don't know...) figured the build might as well go up here.

    BEST FINDS 2014

CL find... he knew what he had, so no $15 scores, but will keep me well stocked on build material for a while :) 39 DX; 2 40-41 DX's; 47 Fat Bar; 2 48 DX's. and finally talked daddy out of his '38 model C shorty.

If you REALLY want the new Felt Zig Zag Tires...

I wonder if they had to roll in a licensing fee to Zig-Zag papers to keep from getting sued...

    (ORBO) BMX/MTB/BOMBER/KLUNKER BO .....VOTING FINISHED!......

    (ORBO) BMX/MTB/BOMBER/KLUNKER BO .....VOTING FINISHED!......

Yeah, that doc is on my "watch at least once every three months" rotation... There's a couple more goodies on the tube under Butte Pass 1980 or something similar.

    (ORBO) BMX/MTB/BOMBER/KLUNKER BO .....VOTING FINISHED!......

Be prepared for lots of flak if you try to define exactly what a Klunker is or isn't :)

    '86 Jamis Boss "Double Phat"

Not the lightest in the world, but it ain't gunna bend :)

    '86 Jamis Boss "Double Phat"

Laced the hoops and thew on an old seat and some pedals just of the heck of it. I think I need to bite the bullet and embrace the bling and have the hoops polished. I tried to mimic the OG finish with Soft Scrub, and for any other project I'd be very happy with the results, but those hubs came...

    '86 Jamis Boss "Double Phat"

And finally starting to look like a bicycle based life from. Cranks and BB arrived, nabbed a set of S&M Cruiser Slam bars because the KOS bars I was going to use did't have enough length in the grip area for the wide NS grips and still get a brake lever in there, and as soon as I saw that phat...
