    my single speed gearing experience is limited (and i know your have a 3speed hub), but i always felt that the old bmx standard gearing was pretty much my preference. 44, 16? (2.75) if i remember correctly.... i tried a couple other chainrings (down to 36), but always came back to the 44/16...

    found a strange BMX scooter on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/255076821660 interesting as it is...frame looks like it would be a good platform for a diy motor as well (double down tubes, flat mounting point)... but who knows what the rear stay width is, i'd guess it's two front wheels....
