    As I can't start on the Silver Moon till May1 I decided to build the grill for the Cresent racer.This is it bolted together--I'll later replace the bolts with alum. rivets.Now I'm off to frankenBike swap to try and find sprockets for the jack shaft on the silver Moon

    Yes a guy in Houston named Mike did an article on rebuilding them sometime back---great motors.I recall he used a rollerskate wheel as a replacement roller.

    Looking for some advice- 1930s Hercules

    I'd say braze it--but keep an eye on it.Those forks are stamped steel and not brazed in inserts(fork ends) like on the raleighs.

    I don't know...but if you start off in the TRADITIONAL if RarRod doesn't like your project he can move it to AG class.So no real need to repaint just get a great idea and start building may1(the part about the great idea is the hard part!!!!) :roll: :lol: :lol: :lol:

    Re: Anything Goes build off 08 previews? Luke,I'll though this out---sick bike parts sells an extra long spindel for 3 piece cranks.It's to allow the pedals to clear their motors but you could use one also to move the cranks out to clear large tires and maybe not have to have a jack shaft.

    Painting Phantom Question

    You'll need to tape the part you don't plan on paint. Then light sand the chrome/wet/dry sandpaper is best---very light just want to dull the shine not put scrashes in the finish.A good primer is also a must.
