    Rat Build for Autism

In our local area you can find those used Razors quite often on C/L form $10 - $25 to use as a parts donor. I always just search "trike" and 'big wheel" in the bike listings.

    Pedals-help!

Is it a one or three piece crank? The crank on my CL Fuji was three piece and I could not get the left pedal loose, even with a cheater bar. It acted like I was going to round of the pedal before it broke loose...then it hit me! I pulled the cap off the end of the pedal, removed the hardware...

    7/8" Cone Wrench?

"Having two measuring systems is just not productive." And it takes up a lot of $pace in the toolbox!

$80 CL Fuji Absolute - Ready to Roll

AND there was a really nice Bianchi roadbike on our CL yesterday for $100. I emailed about it and it was already sold...too bad, I was going to convert it to a flatbar. There are a lot of great deals here on CL.

$80 CL Fuji Absolute - Ready to Roll

The guy was asking $100 very early in the season and was moving very soon, he just wanted it gone. It was absolutely filthy and had never had ANY maintenance (it's an '03). Here are some before pix of the drivetrain.

    Any ideas?

Bob the fenders, strip and modify the chainguard (holes, louvers, maybe paint it a contrasting color...some sort of treatment), truss rods for the stock fork, dual side by side headlights, tank insert and Bontrager Hank tires (w/ the white letters like Mastronaut suggested).

    Big long Cruiser

I think this is brilliant. The possibilities are endless and it looks to be begging for some type of leaf spring suspension to go with it. Most any frame with a euro type BB can be used from the looks of it, just get an BB axle length that fits the drop outs of the bike the rear triangle is...

    Moto bike ll

Awesome, as always. Chainy is gonna love this one (I saw you posted this on FBN too). There is very nearly the same Huffy on CL here right now for $60 with an extra set of wheels...

    WCC on the cheap

Kram, I am 6'2" as well and having the 350 mm seat post AND the added height of a springer saddle helped me fit it pretty well. I never tried the banana seat on it, but now you have me thinking about digging ours back out and trying it. ...but I really need to get my V star reassembled...

    WCC on the cheap

I agree about them being surprisingly comfortable ergonomically, but that saddle and I did not get along. I got a 31.8 seat post and cool looking springer saddle and it was great. We have had ours with about 3 different sets of bars and it did not seem to matter how we configured it, it was...

    Had this set of grips....

Nice work Dan. As stated earlier, nice to see someone with your resume' doing this type build. My son talked me into using a slightly bent pair of bars like that for our Klunker build off bike. I like the look with the crossbar and pad.

    NBL (BMX) Rules Question

No, I appreciate the feedback. It is all just about getting on the track and having fun for me. My son (who's 15) and I are both running cruisers hoping to get on the track at the same time. We both lead training rides for a big charity bike ride in September and can't afford to get hurt...

    NBL (BMX) Rules Question

XXXBMX - since you rang in, I have some questions for you. "I will tell you now, you will have severe handling problems with that mountain bike..... and that fork....toast" I know the fork needs an upgrade if the ergonomics work, but no $en$e wasting money just yet... But why will I have...

    Adjustable Cup bottom bracket

You're off to a good start by obtaining the right tools, it makes any job easier. My experience has been that you need to be patient and keep adjusting until you get just the right feel to it, no play AND no resistance. A well adjusted old school BB is WAY better than a bargain basement priced...

    NBL (BMX) Rules Question

Here is the "BMX like device." 16.5" USA made Raleigh frame, STX RC shifter/brake (rear only) Alivio 7S roller clutch hub, Maxxis Flyweight 330 tires and clipless SPD's. I still need to shorten the chain and remove the outer and inner chainrings. Looking at the pic I suppose removing the...

    NBL (BMX) Rules Question

Good news all around. AND I found the camera. I'll get some pics of the 26" er in the morning. Thanks for the rules info bmxerpete. I do love the way those bigger wheels roll. I guess I need to shorten my chain and lose 2 chainrings tomorrow.

    NBL (BMX) Rules Question

Some of you remember that I bought a Supergoose Pro Cruiser off CL a few weeks back intending to race with my son this season. Seen here: To date I have had it on the track at an open house/practice...and I am not thrilled with it. It is a very nice bike, but at 6'2" tall I was left with a...
