update- looks like a '66 racer 73 continental, and if anyone can help me identify the elgin, it'd be awesome

some guy was selling bikes for 5 dollars a pop from some old barn he was going to sell. i picked up what was left from everyone else's rummaging. ended up with a schwinn racer 3-speed, schwinn continental, and for 25, an old elgin straightbar skiptooth pics to follow,along with years and whatnot

i cant tell from the picture, but did you unscrew the bolt on the stem? the one you adjust to keep the handlebars in line with the wheel? the wedge may be still holding it together maybe?

im 6'6". i need the 26 inch frame, and i like apehangers because i have big ape like arms that drag the floor when i walk. i do believe in excess though

i recommend getting a dog. they'll do what damage to it they can, but it's usually only cosmetic. I dont know why, but my dog loves chewing on pedals, dropouts, and spokes especially. but he'll drag pieces into who knows where and they'll come back all beat up and weathered
