    Gearing Question

With a 36/24 you would be pedaling like a circus monkey. Sent from my GT-P5113 using Tapatalk

    Gearing Question

Sounds like 36/22 is my best option. Any lower youll be cranking your butt off and not moving. I was just wondering if the 40/24 setup would give you more pedal leverage with the large rear freewheel and allow you to maintain a decent speed without spinning like crazy and still being quite easy...

    Gearing Question

I dont understand all those charts and figures. All I want to know is if a 40/24 gear would provide an easy to pedal gear at a reasonable pace. Not spinning and traveling at a snails pace. Sent from my GT-P5113 using Tapatalk

    Gearing Question

I like my adult single speed trykes geared at 36/22. With long arm 7.5 inch cranks its a comfortable easy to pedal pace. I just picked up an older heavier tryke and was wondering how 40/24 gearing would be compared to 36/22. With a 36/24 setup you would be spinning and not going anywhere. Sent...

    Ashtabula Built Bikes

Decided not to get. Not worth the 100 mile trip to bring home junk. Sent from my GT-P5113 using Tapatalk

    Ashtabula Built Bikes

Research shows its called an EZ Roll Traveler. I spotted this old girl on CL and its a 2 hr ride to get. The seller said 30 bucks its yours. I am going to ask him to check the rear rims and spokes If they are sloppy it isnt worth scrap. My other concern is how heay it is. I just sold a nice AMF...

    Ashtabula Built Bikes

I made a deal on this old trike and would like to know if anyone has other pics. Its an EZ Roll Regal BUT is not a Trailmate. According to Trailmate this tryke was built by a company called Ashtabula who made bike cranks and other things. The tryke was sold as a Sun tryke (not Miami Sun) and...

    Sweet and Cheap Worksman

I picked up this 2012 Worksman off CL for 60.00. Pic is from the sellers ad before cleanup. Pretty much brand new.The rusty chrome came clean. It had some internal issue with the 3 speed hub so I threw it away. Got a freewheel and axle adaptor ordered to convert to factory one speed. These are...

    Seat post shim advice needed

I have a lay back post I want to use. The post is 22.2 (7/8). My frame uses a 25.4. These bushings arent cheap in my sizes. Any off the shelf ideas from a hardware store? Thought about a handlebar clamp bushing. Think I have one of those. Sent from my GT-P5113 using Tapatalk

    Worksman Shifting Issue

Get a freewheel on Ebay and axle adaptor from Worksman to make it one speed and chunk that 3 speed hub in a lake. Sent from my GT-P5113 using Tapatalk

    Worksman Shifting Issue

I tried riding the 3 speed today. Something is bad wrong. No brakes . Crank spins backwards and never catches. Jumps outa gear, wont shift. SO I the trashpile goes the SA hub. Getting a freewheel and making one speed. Problem solved. Sent from my GT-P5113 using Tapatalk

    Worksman Shifting Issue

Heres a Trifecta with the freewheel I had. Great ride. I think Worksman is cheapening their quality. This black bike had very rusty chrome 2hich came clean. The new blue bike is a 2012 model with rust on the chrome that wont come off. 7 bet most of Worksman stuff is made in China. Sent from...

    Worksman Shifting Issue

I am not a fan of "geared" bikes. Always trouble. I may toss that 3 speed hub in the trash and put a axle mounted freewheel on. Thats all the single speed porta tryke/Trifectas have. Sent from my GT-P5113 using Tapatalk

    Worksman Shifting Issue

I just disconnected the cable at the chain. When I pulled on the chain the shift rod pulled out. Think somebody had nearly unscrewed it . I screwed the rod back in and all seems fine now. Gotta final adjust cable tome. Sent from my GT-P5113 using Tapatalk

    Worksman Shifting Issue

Should that chain have spring tension? How can I manually shift the hub to see if gears work? Sent from my GT-P5113 using Tapatalk

    Worksman Shifting Issue

Today was a great day. Spotted this porta tryke on CL for 80.00 and ended up giving only 65 after a 75 mile trip. Dont let the pic fool you. Some light chrome rust otherwise brand new cond. Now here we go. I know nothing about 3 speed coaster brake hubs. It wont shift. Cable moves. Its in...

    Very Overpriced Huffy

This guy thinks hes sitting on a gold mine when hes really sitting on a scrap pile. RARE he says. Just saw one 2 days ago in good condition for 1/4 the price. https://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/bik/5131408923.html Sent from my GT-P5113 using Tapatalk
