I have a fork like that and it takes some getting accustomed to it! :o  :o
Sometimes you may need to start with the steel wool before using polish, depends on how bad it is. I try not to use anything more course than 000 steel wool unless I have to. If you look in the gallery under "If you polish it will shine" you will see this bike all cleaned up! 8)
Nice collection you have to show pics of this bike in the gallery. I think I have his brother or cousin or something. Havent seen many of them with that paint scheme Welcome to the site. Check yor messages also.
Yeh wear gloves while polishing that much, as the wool is rubbing away paint, it is also rubbing away skin tooo     . I dont complain much but my hands hurt!!!!! Wish mine had the springer like that one!
All I need now is some decals, Thought about doing some off the home printer, I have seen a post on here before about them. Does anyone know of a company that sells reproduction decals for bikes?
I posted a pic of this in fresh finds last week. It had been sprayed with chrome paint over the original chrome :x . With a lot of rubbing (for some reason paint thinner wouldnt cut it :? ) here it is. I used almost a whole pack of steel wool on this baby. 8) The first pic is as found, the rest...
The chrome has been covered with the cheezie chrome paint, I am going to clean it off with some paint thinner.
Also did Western Flyer put out one of these kind of bikes, I have a very similar shaped gaurd that is a Western Flyer.
Im not sure what it is but is cool. 8) All the letters are off the gaurd and missing badge between headlights. Some dummy didnt know about steel wool and painted it with chrome paint :x , but it will come off  . What is it, who made it?
