I did the same thing and am actually doing it to my build off bike except I using the threading from another fork to cut Down on having to many welds...

I like to drive down the lakeshore that runs beside lake Ontario from Toronto to Hamilton it's a nice drive and and. Eats the crazyness of the highway but the other reason I take it is because there is over a dozen bike shops on that stretch of road

I will say even with all the horrible trips to the hospitals I have to say i wouldn't trade it for all the vintage bikes in the world cause every trip means I get to spend that much more time with my little monster..... And I know all the dads/moms here feel the sameway...
