Duplicor makes a translucent paint too. Works well over chrome(if prepped right, or over a metallic siler, giving it an anodized aluminum look. They reccomend it over a bare metal, or metalic base, and I can't remember what it's called for sure, but I got mine at schucks(kragens)... I used it...

I agree with CCR. I don't ahve a problem with them becasue they are not an actual american flag. It's a depiction of one. That being said, I would never use them because they are a little too gawdy/flashy for my taste. I want my bike to be the center of attention, not my tires...

Ok. I've noticed a distinct lack of stuff for sale on CL around here too. I mean there are bikes for sale, just not ones I want... So instead of bikes this winter I bought tools. A Hobart wirefeed welder, A sawzall, angle grinder, all sorts of stuff. :-)
