Am I the only one? or are there others?

You are NOT alone. I agree with MarkM.......it is THERAPY. Therapy for the soul. Therapy for a bad day at work. Therapy for a headache. Therapy for just about anything. For me, it cures what ails me. Every time.

    1962 Monark El Camino

I have a complete (except for the plastic light housing) blue & white girls El Camino that is virtually identical to my Blue Thunderbird posted above except it is NOT a twin bar top tube. All original, blue frame, fenders, chainguard. White & blue rack, white & blue tank. Drop center wheels...

    Lotus Legend

The levers are originally set up for a "side" exit on the cables, so yes they are wrapped under the tape. Surprisingly the original head bearings survived as they had been packed pretty well when built. The bottom bracket is a cartridge type and survived as well. It really does ride...

    1966 Columbia Thunderbolt

This bike came to me a few years ago and had been relegated to the back of the bike barn.....kinda forgotten. Well, had some time on my hands and decided to see how it would clean up, and do it without any cash investment, or as little as possible. I did spend about $1.50 on replacing some...

    Lotus Legend

This bike was discarded by a neighbor who had purchased it brand new while stationed in Japan in the early '80's when he was in the Air Force. It had been so neglected the drop bars literally broke in two while I was trying to remove them. The chain was solidified, the freewheel was no longer...

    Thank you Rat Rod!

Rat Rod, Thank you for suggestion of matching grips to my new saddle & bag. They look EXCELLENT! (IMHO of course) Sorry for the "spotty " pics....we've had a cold drizzle most of the day here in sunny FLA.

    Monark El Camino---finished 01/29

Thank you all for your encouraging and satisfying compliments. I ca'nt weld, so I have to do bolt ons. I can't tell you how many times I'll put something on a bike and off it comes because it just doesn't flow. The triple tree set up works great once I found the right height and then got the...

    Opinions please.....

The saddle and bag came from the home of the Blue Light Special! Was in the local K Mart for school supplies for my youngest and decided to look at the bike stuff. They're made by Bell. I didn't use the matching mounting straps the bag came with because I didn't like the way it hung below...
