    Your opinion ...

I like the pick-up bed idea- maybe even a mini stake bed with polished hardwood slats. JWM

    *BIKESTERS*

I posted this on the faceborg, and thought I'd share it here. Kudos to Ruth Ann LeRutte, charming wife of RRB member Mad Max 58, for coining the term: *Bikesters* Like all great ideas, it is simple, and so obvious that it leaves you scratching your head, and wondering why you didn't think of...

Sept 8 So Cal Rat Rod Ride

Imagine all the useless nonsense you're missing out on. Before I had Facebook my life was empty. Now that I have it my life is filled with- uh-er- something or other... JWM

Sept 8 So Cal Rat Rod Ride

Holy Cow, it seems like it's been forever since the last ride. But September is (almost) here, the season is winding down, and I'm looking forward to getting together for our last ride of the summer. (Next ride will be the first ride of the fall) Later today I plan on starting a Facebook group...

Major changes to Felt cruiser lineup

From the illustrations I like the Deep Six style frame on the cruisers, but the 29" doesn't do much for me. JWM

    what the Heck?

Face it, we all love riding outlandish bikes that get attention. The question is, what kind of attention? With this bike you'd get a lot of it, but it would all be people asking you what was the reason for the weird frame. You'd be all the time telling people, "It just looks like that- it...

    Too much sillyness ?

Stodginess? I beg to differ: http://thecabe.com/vbulletin/forumdispl ... Break-Room Sometimes we get into scientifical stuff like ichthyology, and sea anemones, and clownfish. Now, read the clownfish thread, and tell me if you find a humorous post or two. JWM

    what the Heck?

You sell the Virtue bike in the pic? How does it ride? Is there anything in the seating position, or handling that justifies the odd shape, or is it just an odd shape? JWM

It ain't a Rat, but it's going to be my next ride

It's on! Alan has already exceeded the Kickstart goal, and around thirty bikes out of a hundred to be built are spoken for. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/553612698/next-generation-cruiser-bicycle-fits-tall-large-ri Now I get to start doing my very favorite thing to hate- waiting. :? JWM

    what the Heck?

If there is a functional reason for this strange looking frame- say rider comfort, improved ergonomics, better cornering or something, then fine. If it's just another novelty bike- well- it's plain silly looking. Ugly, in other words. JWM

    ...................

Re: SoCal RatRodRide Aug. 11th Pic Heavy Thank you so much for posting the pics, Max. As per always I didn't get a single useable shot. And thanks to everyone for coming out. It was indeed a great day and a great ride. From the chatter on Facebarf, it sounds like the women are seriously working...

It ain't a Rat, but it's going to be my next ride

I went for the whole bike with the springer fork. And Alan made the Kickstart goal yesterday, so the bike will definitely go into production. Now I just have to decide on a color. I want something loud, and bright. Screaming, eye-burn yellow, and red maybe... JWM

Opinions on Sturmey Archer and other gear hubs

I'm using a Nexus 8-speed w/coaster brake on my rider. Best hub ever! I can't recommend it highly enough. Go to Amazon for the best deal, or try Niagara Cycles on line. JWM

I've dealt with Alan at Cycles US several times. Great guy making great stuff. And I just love the thought of riding a new American bike. JWM
